How many OL are we taking in 2016? 3 or 4?

Do we have room for Pollard, Simpson, Boudreaux, and Price/Reeves?

Yes we would take 4 but I don't think you will see us drop down for any after that list. If we miss on them which I think we lead for them all expect price, we will probably hold them til next year.

With 13 on scholarship and losing 4 after this year, we

will only have 3 upperclassmen on the offensive line - one senior and two juniors. I would think the coaches feel a sense of urgency to sign 4 more this year and not wait til next year. Otherwise, just having enough bodies for practice could become a problem.

Yes but we signed a lot of really good OL last year. I could see them holdin 1 if we miss out on ever one of the OG. So I think 3 for sure 4 depending on who we get. I'm not a fan of over signing OL. DT, DE and TE can grow in OL. OL just grown into off the team plus they help very little on special teams.

12 offensive linemen just isn't enough bodies for practice

should a couple get dinged up, which is likely. Ideally, I would think 15 would be the number you shoot for given the usual attrition at that position group and the tempo at which we practice and play.
In looking at the TE and DL position groups, I don't see any potential movers there. We don't have a lot of DTs on the team to pull from.

DTs we could pull from if necessary IMO

- Rod Byers (got moved to offense last year) - Scott Pagano (a brute that might be Shately-able) - Jabril Robinson (still plays too high to be a contributing DT, but then again, that won't help him on the OL either)
Now this would or could only happen if we get big time studs in here on the DL (ie. D. Lawerence, R. Gary, and N. Pickney)

When you reach and miss at most positions there's a chance you can get some use out of them somewhere else.
When you reach and miss on an OL you either end up with essentially a dead scholarship for five years or pushing the problem down the road.

There's always the injury factor, unfortunately on the OL.

Agree - think at least 4 more and Boudreaux is trending ND

No doubt coaches keep pressure on Parker B. But I expect they are also going after some others down the list to make sure they get the count and talent both that they need. With all the kids that have come to camps so far isn't there at least one OT or OG for 2016 that they might have put some extra attention on?
Maybe they would even go full court press on Bryce Matthews.
