Grant of Rights (GOR)

Jul 31, 2023, 9:07 AM

Clemson along with every other ACC school sold it’s soul to the ACC to get it’s own network. Meaning that even if any of these schools can buy their way out of the ACC, the ACC still owns their media rights. If a school doesn’t have media rights that means little to no income.
Stop the narrative of schools leaving the ACC to go to the BIG or any other conference. We are locked in until 2036 or until the ACC dissolves.

According to him, there is definitely some truth to the rumors that Clemson (among others) may have identified a pathway out of the GOR without penalty.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

The one pathway we know is if 8 or more schools leave together.
