At some point you have to quit accepting mediocrity. Look no further than Dabo swinney for support on this topic. They brought him in and he had a vision for a program that accepted mediocrity year in and year out and he changed the culture! I thought we were well on our way with oliver purnell but we didn't keep him or atleast in my opinion try hard enohgh to keep him. But we need a visionary and someone with so much energy it's infectious because with the talent we have on the floor all we need is a kick in the rear and better coaching down the stretch of games! Some might not agree but Brownell doesn't fit in with the direction Clemson Athletics is heading!
I totally agree with you about the point of accepting mediocrity. However ,I don't think Oliver Purnell was the man for the job either. Is he even coaching now? However,now is not the time for replacing Brownell, but starting a search for a new coach if the season doesn't turn around. Let him finish the season ,but at least have a list of potential candidates readily available for interviewing.
