Depends on which goal post you are talking about. I was a senior at Clemson when we finally beat Florida State at home in 2003 and both goal post came down. I have a section of one of them. It went into the reflection pond after the game, then myself an few others got it out can took it to the apartments across from Bowmen (before they burnt down). It was cut up into about 10in sections. I ended up with one of them.

Where the rest of that aluminum ended up. I have two sections (one from 2003 FSU, one from 2002 Carolina); both ended up in the pond. I've been wanting to get a nice base made for them, plaque, ticket, all that jazz.

Good memories! remember hanging from it when the pepper spray came out...

I have about a 5 inch section. That was my freshman year and I after it went into the reflection pond we carried it to Daniel Square. We waited around there all holding our sections while people gathered up hacksaws. Goalposts give off a funny smell when you saw them apart, my brother-in-law still has his lucky beer can from that game.

Someone ran to grab a circular saw. We moved a Coke machine out of the way, plugged it in, and cut that ####### up.
What a memory!

Yep. That goal post got carried all around the campus and eventually made it (or at least part of it) to Mauldin Hall where I was living at the time. The funniest thing was hearing my Russian roommate's story about it the next day and how he was so messed up and dumbfounded over what it was.

How can this goal post be from Death Valley 1999-2005? In 2004 they changed to the new collapsible goal posts so this would have had to be from an earlier time (if it's even legit).

I feel IPTAY or some other Clemson affiliate should have offered this over Fanatics. Now we have to pay a middle man. I wasn't too happy over some of the items I purchased from Fanatics and felt they price gouged on about half of the N.C. merchandise to take advantage of our enthusiasm.( I understand that's free enterprise )
