GOR

from ESPN article: "But the league also has a grant of rights -- which ties league schools together until the television contract with ESPN runs out in 2036. Nearly every ACC school has gone to the league office in Greensboro, North Carolina, to look at the document -- including schools that were not a part of the separate conversations that caused so much tension back in May."

Pretty soon the GOR will have to be en route to it's new home in Charlotte. It's amazing how many things can get lost in transit.... don't we have a regular in the moving business? Or I'm sure there will be plenty to shred in Greenville to reduce moving costs.... hmmmm

The only way out of the GOR is to dissolve the ACC. There is no way that ESPN is going to pay more money to air the games when they already have a contract on the cheap.

And to think the ACC was started primarily

as a football conference.

Correct...

The original members of the ACC left the Southern Conference at least in part because of the league's ban on post-season football play.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I still say Disney who owns ESPN and ABC is doing things that should void the contract. Becoming a paid subscription Streaming service should void the contract. Also, Disney selling ABC should also void the contract.

There is no such thing as an iron clad contract. ESPN is reporting on a contract from which they benefit greatly. Of course they will report it as unbreakable. I am willing to bet anyone that this contract will NOT run its course to the end of 2036.

Why did we sign on to that moronic deal. Should have left the ACC then.
