Wifeof and I welcomed son #3 into the world two months ago. We're extremely blessed and very thankful to have him.

Unfortunately, #3 has had some health concerns. We spent the days before Easter in the hospital when he developed meningitis. He bounced back from that in time for his one month appointment, where the pediatrician detected a heart murmur. We go see the cardiologist next week. Over the weekend he developed some GI issues and he just got sent back to Children's Hospital to test for pyloric stenosis.

Balancing this with increased work responsibilities, the other boys' needs and issues (I spent Sunday afternoon in the Pediatric Urgent Care for the other two), helping (rapidly) aging parents, and sleepless nights has been tough.

I'm thankful everything with #3 seems to be treatable thus far but, holy cow, it feels like life is landing body blow after body blow on us recently.

No clue why I am posting this here other than to blow off steam after getting news about the pyloric stenosis. I don't want to burden wifeof* with the stress I'm feeling because she's burdened enough with all of it as is. I guess the bright side is that I didn't get a chance to watch any of our baseball regional.

*we all know that Taggernet is a wife-free zone and that no one's wife would ever be a member here, let alone read and respond to her husband's posts.

I'm confident things will get better.

or so, ended up that she just had severe reflux so hoping that jr has something similar or if it pyloric stenosis, they explained it was an easy fix and would be a game changer. I know it's easy to say when it isn't your newborn staring down surgery but sending good thoughts your way. Having been through some tough medical stuff with one of my kiddos, parenting is not for the faint of heart. Hopefully this is just a tough season of life and that it will get better.

Life is tough when your kiddos are young, just sleep when you can and keep on keeping on. One day you will miss this stage, I promise.

And kids are crazy, crazy, crazy resilient.

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

Above all else, love and forgive. Understand that people who disagree with you are not necessarily idiots or your enemies. Respect the wisdom of the founding fathers and individual rights and freedoms. Always see the beauty and humor in life.

As a father of 4 children it doesn’t really get any easier as they get older. I love them all but when will it end? lol.

Ta and Ps for you and the kids.

Sounds like you're in one of those 'life is trying to beat you down ' moments. Keep punching brother, you'll make it to the other side.

Hang in there dude. Going from two to three was a total dickpunch for us too, nevermind the added stress of having baby being sick. You got this.

Praying for the littleBright's health to improve. Children are resilient. They sometimes get the most random things, but they're tougher than us old folks.

Our oldest was hospitalized for a week with EV-D68 at 2yo.....yeah, random illness. Know that feeling. I'd never heard of it, but it's bad for some children. He was some children. I had it as well, just a cough, but they wouldn't let me visit him in the hospital because I could spread it in the pediatric areas. That was the worst part.
