so what did that get us but a blemish on our perfect winning record, a possible National Championship win & trophy, not getting the SEC & Coot negative hype off us for our weak conference affliation, and not even receiving a 2nd place Natty Trophy (that I know of) for our display case?!
Saying..was that a good thing in going up against the best program in college football last 7 years (4 Natties)..and about 1 dozen championships overall?
I say yes!

I use to whine about being hand to mouth. I think I was reaching 40 when I realized it was never empty when it got there.
I now tend to focus on the many things I/we have and not so much on the one thing I/we don't have. So yes, it was a great season.

We got an orange bowl trophy. The Coots were not even bowl eligible. It was a great year.

We got the team to go back to the playoffs and the players that are determined to get there .,

Notre Dame, FSU, Oklahoma, and Alabama - namebrand programs. We just couldn't slay that last giant - the big bad one.

... by beating the best. Clemson went mano a' mano with biggest bully on the block. Proud of team and coaches. Much room to improve on Special Teams. Save that for another post.
