Against teams that are considered in the field, Clemson has played 4. Pitt (W), NCState (W), Duke (W) and NCState (W). 4-0. And still UNC is ahead of us in the first 4 out.

the bracketology/NET nonsense.
Just do it.
If Ga Tech and Va Tech can get it done in similar circumstances, why not Clemson?
The time has come. Things are setting up nicely.
Just do it!

If the Tarheels get in, it's due to their blue blood status. They have 1 quad 1 win and in past years teams have been in the 30's in the net and the lack of quad 1 W's kept them out.

they get in, it will be because they end the year and ACCT in similar fashion to what they did in 2022.
It earned them an 8th seed and gifted the ACC its 5th team for '22 with Notre Dame a play in participant.
The ACC is currently projected with 5 again, that's terrible, and it's happening in a once proud conference with 15 members.
Big12 9 SEC 8 B1G 8
None of those Conferences sport as many members, nor the ACC's pedigree.

The media-led narrative...

that the ACC is a weak basketball conference is a complete load and frankly, I'm sick of hearing it.
You hear this same bull$#!7 virtually every time a national analyst is discussing the NCAAT and that is reflected in the rankings, because the pollsters are listening to this same garbage.
What you don't hear is that the ACC came out on top of the Big Ten in the annual ACC/B1G challenge, a result that included the league’s 14th-place team, Notre Dame, putting an 18-point beatdown on Tom Izzo’s Michigan State Spartans.
You also won't hear that teams like NC State and Pittsburgh are much different teams than they were several weeks ago. They have improved significantly now that their lineups, aided by the transfer portal, have established a chemistry and identity.
Something else you're not going to hear is that last year, despite a cumulative NET of No. 5 that resulted in only 5 teams placed into the field of 68 (the fewest since expanding to 15 in 2014), the ACC still ended up with 3 teams in the Elite 8 and half of the Final Four. That Elite 8 total was the same number as the Big 12, Big Ten, SEC and Big East had combined. So clearly, they got it wrong.
What you do hear is that the ACC comes in as the 7th rated conference behind the Big East and Mountain West.
The top teams in the ACC are pretty darn good, but it doesn’t look like it if your evaluation is based on the NET rankings (which no one seems to understand), in part because the games in November and December are weighted differently than the games are once conference play begins.
So is it perception or reality that the ACC is down? Are some historically great teams having bad years? Absolutely! Have some of the ACC's brand name programs failed to lived up to preseason expectations? Yes they have. Are there four elite teams in the league right now?. No. Is there a lot of parity within the league among a lot of really good teams? Without question.
You never hear that about the Big Ten or the Big XII or the SEC.
The top teams in the ACC can play with the best teams in any league and last years NCAAT more than supported that. End of rant !!!!

RPI NET KP BPI KPI SOR
Team O Team D
It's not a conspiracy, it's math. They are all useful tools, NET is spoken of more often because it replaced RPI, which is still used and present on team sheets.
All "they" are doing is reporting the news based on the math tools provided.
I understand it pisses off the dumb, because they're easily confused.

You're right. I'm not sure how I missed that. Thank you. It looks like the ACC actually has the lowest NC winning percentage among the P5 conferences and is 7th overall. Of course, this is strictly based on the win/loss record and doesn't factor in SOS so take it for what you will.

Clemson lost to Miami, so 4-1, which is still better than 2-6 for UNC. Unfortunately, they won head to head, which is hard to argue with.

of getting into the Dance, we are 1-3. (Split with Loserville, and unfathomable losses to the Coots and Loyola-Chicago.) Those losses are dragging us to the bottom like cement overshoes.

Did UNC lose to Louisville and Loyola-Chicago?
No?
That's why, right there.
If Clemson had not lost those two games...
23-6, 14-4 ACC
No quad-4 losses (the BC and SCAR are now quad-3 losses)
Tied for first in ACC, with tiebreaker over Pitt
Far higher NET, et al. rankings than we currently have
Shoo-in for the NCAAT
