Anyone know what it is that clogs up sinks?

I ask this because we're 13 years into this house. My wife's sink has stopped up 6-7 times, lost count. Each of the kids' bathrooms upstairs 2-3 times each. My sink......NEVER. NOT ONCE.

Wife I get. Her hair. Why she isn't bald I'll never know. But the kids, it's nothing they shove down the sink. They brush their teeth. That's it.

Just cleaned out kids sink drain again. Again a nasty black tarball of just crud. As always. Wife is the same, only mixed with hair.

Yes the black slime on faucets has taken over for some reason

It's magnesium build up. Never seen it this bad.

Like you wash our hands and it doesn't drain for 10+ minutes.

I have it down to a science. Remove J trap, remove stopper. Clean stopper, run some clorox wipes straight down the pipe with a coat hanger. Clean J trap. Reassemble it all, and all if fine for a year, two tops.

Good luck with that. Maybe the mag slime is down the drain too?

No matter how many times it was peed in. Maybe I should pee in my wife's sink? I'd pee in her sink at least 3 times a week if I knew it would prevent the clogs.
