Re: Good breakdown of Neff letter...

After 12 years, we know what BB can and cannot do. If he could have done it, he would have already done so. There is absolutely nothing to be gained by waiting a year. If Clemson has a good year, do we all of a sudden thing BB is a great coach? If so, why did he not do it the other 12 years? Can you name a great coach that had almost no success for the first 12 and then suddenly became great?
I have said it before - but will repeat. If I birdie number 18 today - does that mean I should be on the PGA tour? Nope, it means I simply birdied #18. So, Clemson winning next year will not be because of BB - we already know he can get us to 10th place. If we finish 2nd, it is because the team did it.

Seems to me either a bunch of double talk or crossing his fingers that things will be better next year with a healthy P.J. The problem is you can't build this program around 1 player. Not even Duke can do that. So ,for me, giving Brad another year is no longer the issue. What happens if next year the same results happen, and Neff again does nothing. Then the issue is Neff. Are you reading this Graham?

This new AD is too scared to act on what's best for the program and instead opted, while crossing his fingers, to wait it out in hopes of a breakout season that may delay he's having to make a real decision.
He felt he had to communicate something to the Clemson fans so he did.

If Neff wants the basketball program to improve, he must first replace Brownell.

must make the NCAA Tourney, AND have a nucleus of returning players to sustain that success beyond next year. Otherwise, he could pull the old transfer portal move, and assemble a "one and done" team as far as eligibility is concerned, which seems to be his mode of operation somewhat lately anyway.
