I just cannot invest too much mental & emotional energy in expecting football teams north of the Mason-Dixon line to beat southern teams (SEC or not) in big games that matter. The variance in athleticism, both in the trenches and with skill players on top teams, is usually just too great.

For too long, it's been the easiest money in the world to bet southern teams in the college playoffs.
