We are 12 pt underdogs to a very good Texas team. Please don't make dumb posts about how awful our coaches and players are if we are down at half or 3rd qtr or if we lose. Please don't cry about the decline of the program as the ACC champs are battling in a PLAYOFF game. Vegas isn't stupid. But that's why you play the game.

This is realistic and reasonable. We are a pretty big underdog but still have a punchers chance!

And yet some may call you a coot for such a realistic take. There is a lot of “ Cade will throw 4 tds in the first quarter and we will blow them out..I truly believe it” wishcasting out there. It’s fun to hope for good outcomes but if anyone is honestly expecting us to win in a blow out you will probably be sorely disappointed.

I wouldn't be shocked if they won. Maybe a bit surprised, but not at all shocked. And if they get smoked, I will be darn surprised.

but if we do stupid things, and make stupid strategic decisions, personnel-wise, play-calling wise, situationally - then that's 100% fair game. Criticism isn't and shouldn't be reduced to whether we like the final outcome or not. But that cuts both ways. Just like losing (especially to a good team) doesn't necessarily indicate poor decisions, the quality of the competition and understandability of losing doesn't necessarily mean the decisions were good either. It just depends on the particulars.
