It always cracks me up when I hear kids say "I really want an offer from Clemson". Yet, when they get one, 9 times out of 10 they go somewhere else. Sort of the "dream school" comments. I guess they just really want to be able to ADD Clemson to their offer sheet, looks better than usuck.

Agree...seems like some kids just want to see how many offers they can get. If Dabo didn't have any other OTs he thought would fit in better, he would have already offered (and he still may down the road)...trust The Dabo.

It's one thing to WANT a Clemson offer and another thing to show the honesty, integrity, and respect to DESERVE an offer. Dabo doesn't just hand out offers because you want it and you're good at football.
Offering high character young men is why(this summer excluded) we have had so few disciplinary issues with players under Dabo. If this kid deserves it, he will be offered

he really wanted a clemson offer, but he also wanted lots of offers, to the point where he was calling schools to ask them if they were going to offer. According to a friend who works at Chs Southern, Boudreaux actually called one of their assistant coaches to ask if they were going to offer him. At that point he had like 115 offers.
And guess what the asst. coach said to Boudreaux.......NO.
Some times these guys are just collecting offers to pump their egos just a bit more, a la Boudreaux.
You have to wonder if this guy is another Boudreaux or if he's serious about Clemson.

Imagine this kid on a steady diet of our training table, with a big desert of our weight room. In 12 months he could be 300 pounds of solid muscle on his big 6-5, 6-6 frame. With his athleticism, he would be really hard to handle for opposing D lines. But like some are saying, an offer from Clemson would add another big time college offer to his already impressive list. A souvenir to show his children and grand children. But hopefully he wants a Clemson offer bc he really wants to be a part of Clemson Tiger Family!!!

Just going off this article but if DUKE is a favorite of his bc of their academics, then he is most likely a high character kid that would fit our standards. A 5* (at this time) that cares about his education seems like it wouldn't atleast hurt to go after him. Not questioning Dabo and staff at all btw I think they are elite recruiters love our recruiting, just saying I don't think it hurt to offer that high school produces studs.

If he were serious about Clemson and not just collecting offers the coaches will probably know it. It ain't a science but they are pretty good about reading kids. Most of the fails come during camps I think. A few will be all juked up during drills and camp and probably make it sound like they really want to play at Clemson. Some get it and then make another commitment not long after that.

If he's serious about Duke because of their academics than there's probably more to this kid than just someone that wants to collect offers to pump up their ego.
