never done it you might not fully understand it, but it is a FEEL process. Personally, I think Ship tried to take it from Cade. I think Cade saw a chance to pull it and walk around the right side for a TD. At least that is what it looked like to me.

That’s just wrong through. Look at when Cade “tries” to pull it. It’s way too late. It has to be a snap decision. The RB doesn’t know what the QB is going to do, just had to react to it. Shipley was deep in that process when Cade tries to pull it. At the point he was at it’s assumed the QB is giving the football not pulling it. It was 100% on Cade.

you know, the type of play that takes about 3 seconds to develop therefore giving the defense extra time to push back our line and get through to make a tackle. I hate that play as a goalline option. Anything where there is a delay, an off tackle, read option seems to only invite disaster. i mean for 1 yard line type plays. Its QB dive, half back dive, I formation, or play action quick pass. keep it simple stupid. Any mesh play would be need to be farther back, one where you don't have defensive linemen and linebackers blitzing forward on the snap. Dive or play action pass should be the two options.

Id like to see some rpo action down there or a designed rollout Duke was mugging the gaps and left plenty of room for a quick pop pass to the back of the endzone. Rolling cade out with a passing option isnt a bad idea either bc the kid can scoot.

I love Shipley and Mafah. Shipley does fumble a lot though. I would give Dominique Thomas a shot inside there.
