For those who have scoffed at Coach Swinney all season, I welcome you to watch as the Clemson Tigers attempt to win their 9th ACC Championship under Coach Swinney's leadership. No other coach in the nation can claim those numbers, but I digress. For those of you who claim that Clemson is a program in decline, I beg to differ. Certainly, the program is a program in the midst of a slump, but not a full-blown decline. Conforming to the methods of those who will soon be failures will not ascertain the victory that we truly want in the end. Coach Swinney has a plan as he has since DAY 1, and his word is solid gold based upon past performance. I cannot and will not join the few who whine and bemoan the transfer portal lore versus the methods of Clemson. I will stay true to the course and allow this to play out because even if Dabo fails in the end, I hold the belief that he has earned that trust. No other Coach in Clemson history has accomplished what Coach Swinney has accomplished and it's that plain and simple. When it really boils down to it, you either trust a man who has 8 ACC Championships, 6 Consecutive Playoff Appearances, and 2 National Championship victories, or you simply don't. Common sense leads me to believe that Coach Swinney has a long-term strategy because he achieved against the odds, and it didn't happen by pure luck or happen-stance. It happened because he had a plan, a strategy, and it worked. We may lose this game today, and for me I am okay with that because Coach Swinney has been battling tampering, bribing, and unethical sportsmanlike practices. Those days will soon be over, but for now I ask that the scoffers and doubters give Coach Swinney a fighting chance because HE HAS EARNED IT... Another way stated, SHUT YOUR MOUTH!
