As good as we are and that we shouldn’t be going into Georgia and getting who we want. That’s my first thought. The other is he is lazy and just offering everyone we offer. But I think it’s the first. I think he doesn’t think he can go head to head with Alabama necessarily but thinks he can with Clemson. And I’d bet there is some serious negative recruiting going on too.

Oh the negative recruiting is horrible. Surely we have some "plants" that are letting us know exactly what they are saying. But yeah, UGA sends offers to everyone. No way they've reviewed or vetted as many as they have.
That's where I agree with the laziness. Coaches know our mo and the tons of vetting we do. Why not let us do the leg work. Wish it was some way we could stop it.

We have a lot to 'sell' to a QB such as Vizzina, but UGA has their own (different) sales pitch.
UGA's pitch is that they are the defending National Championships. Good pitch.
UGA's 'issue' is that, after Stetson Bennett finished his UGA career at end of 2022 season, then UGA will have 3 highly rated younger QBs ready to compete for the starting QB job: Gunner Stockton, Carson Beck, and Brock Vandagriff. Pretty crowded QB room at UGA starting in 2023 season for Vizzina to enter.
Not a very good pitch.
Clemson's pitch is that we are a regular CFP participant, and (hopefully!) after the 2022 season is over we will have been back in the CFP. Good pitch.
We also have a more conducive QB room for an incoming 2023 QB. DJU will likely have had a good season in 2022 and will go pro. (DJU will show out big time at NFL combine with his Big Gustav type arm.) C.Klubiik will hopefully be fully ready as a SOPH to lead Clemson to fine 2023 season. C.Klubnik will then QB a re-loaded Clemson team in 2024 and may go pro. Vizzina will be a SOPH in 2024 (and will almost certainly get a lot of good PT in 2024 season). For 2025 season (as either a JR or a R-SO), Vizzina will be in line to start for yet another Clemson CFP caliber team.
Better pitch.

"Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery".
The only team that was really competing with Bama and making the playoffs every year is Clemson. UGA couldn't beat Bama until this year and only made the playoffs once before this year so Kirby must have decided to join them by using Clemson players that leave and copy the Clemson recruiting model by offering everyone Clemson offers.
