for a starting spot. Says he played major snaps for Georgia's #1 ranked total defense in 2019. They were also #2 in pass defense and #2 in rush defense. Why wouldn't we want him? Are we stacked and loaded in the secondary?

You're referring to Nick Schuessler, but your story for him is a bit off. He signed with Mississippi State in February 2012 but requested his release that same summer (he never dressed for them). He then chose to walk on at Clemson that fall.
Off the top of my head, I don't know that Dabo has ever offered a scholarship to a transfer player since he's been the head coach.

Kellen Jones (LB from Oklahoma in 2012 or 2013) and David Olson (QB from grad transfer from Stanford in 2014) are the only scholarship players I can think of that transferred in under Dabo. I'm not sure what the circumstances around Jones' transfer were, but Olson was brought in for depth reasons after Chad Kellt got kicked off the team.

technically, we had 3 "transfers" on the roster last year... all walk ons. there is currently a story on another clemson site about a DB coming in as a w/o this august. he is originally from blacksburg SC.. signed with Indiana but left before ever playing (a legit family illness situation) and transferred to Gardner Webb. didn't work out there for what ever reason. he sat out a year.. had an offer to go to usc as a preferred w/o but turned it down and will basically "try out" for us trying to get a spot on the roster. no lose situation for us.. has decent size, was 2 time all state in high school, had a 3 star rating. most likely a long shot, but who knows.

Might need to head to Carolina.
Either "Carolina" would probably put him in their Honors Colleges.
