Top NCAA basketball coach in most of our lifetimes - maybe eclipsed by John Wooden for those born in 30’s - 60’s. An interesting fact is when Auriemma was hired in 1985, UConn had just one winning season in its history. Since then, he’s turned the Huskies into a dynasty, now capturing 12 national championships along the way.
He’s an eight-time Naismith Coach of the Year and a seven-time WBCA National Coach of the Year.

Dawn just looked lost and angry. I feel for the tigernet (supposed fans) members that praised her in the distant past. Tigernet remembers. Really hurts their credibility. The language the kids had to witness?? Not a hall of fame moment.

Most progressive liberal basketball coach ever. There is evil in that mouth and it’s screaming out. Why anyone would want to play for someone like that I’ll never understand.

Instead of uplifting, she has gone Full-Getto, Columbia style. After attending Virginia, she has been exposed to much better.
I hear the Coots lose $5 Million per year on Women’s Basketball.

She gets a pass due to her "gender." Anyone disagree?

Yeah, I disagree. She gets pass because she wins. She is a coach in the State of South Carolina. I think a lot of you forget that outside of who you root for in college sports, you basically share the same values as South Carolina fans.

Being he is retiring after this season I will be anxious to see what kinda program they have starting next season and seasons after that.It will be hard for another head coach to have to follow him.Same has happened at Tennessee after Pat Summit retired, with 2 head coaches that not even come close to her winning tradition.

It’s hard to follow a Danny Ford Frank Howard or Dabo Sweeney. Look at Nick Alabama will wander in the dark hid a few years.

You would think 🤔 having a legendary coach like Dabo, a member of his own fanbase would spell his last name correctly.

A girl I know, who dated him early in his career when he was coaching hs, told him coaching the girls team was never going to get him anywhere. So I guess that means be careful what you say. I’it may inspire someone to show you a thing or two

Coach Wooden won 7 Championships in a row which is just crazy. Coach Auriemma has won 12 but the question would be is it easier to win a men's championship or a women's? It doesn't really matter because winning 7 championships in a row is record that will be touched and makes Wooden the GOAT and Auriemma has won 12 and that makes him the GOAT.

Geno coaches them intensely. He is very demanding but loves his playes and the game. I admire him. He came here with his family at about 4 speaking no english.. Self made guy and I'm sure he faces some backlash and snark as a very successful man because other coaches who are female because of envy and resentment. He seemed truly humbled by todays win. Nice to see that

Comparing a NCAA womens coach to the mens pedigree is so laughable.

He is arguably the best coach in the history of college sports.

He and Wooden are the two best in my opinion based on their sheer dominance.
Saban is probably in the conversion too.
