They should be at least a 2 TD dog to Clemson and LSU.

Alabama needed a garbage touchdown to cut it to 5 at home against LSU. If you figure 3 points for a neutral field and say half of the garbage TD, that would put it at 11.5 with Tua. The spread would never move that much because of Bama's name and all of the hype, but Bama would be a big underdog against LSU or us before the game started. With us there would be a huge amount of sharp money put on us early at -4.5 because they would know that figure could only go up. We would be -8 before the game.

Clearly Vegas didn't clear this with the talking heads at ESPN first. Then they would know that all of those teams should be favored over Clemson. It's obvious.

I know it's crazy to say , and maybe a little irresponsible ... but Clemson is 2 scores better than the field provided we play mistake free football and our cylinders are firing cleanly in all facets .

Vegas oddsmakers are knowledgeably is sports analysis. Also_

consider the lines not only account for which team will win and how much _ but who the betting public will favor. Ohio State and Bama are typically favorites in tge gambling community. This means those lines may be understated.

The playoff committee should be checking these numbers. The betting houses are not in the business to lose. Maybe the committee make-up in the future should include the Las Vegas odds makers.

They should stop allowing ESECPN from leading the poles to do what benefits ESPN's back account, IMPO!!! They did the exact same with the BCS bowl bids for the NCG, and they are doing the exact same thing with the AP and Coaches polls that drains down in the lap of the Playoff committee bc the SEC has been on a downward spiral for the past several years.
When the SEC don't have at least 4 teams in the top 10, ESECPN loses their $$$$ that they personally pay into the SEC that was suppose help keep the SEC conference at the top of college FB. When the SEC is down, the propaganda machine that consist of ESECPN employee's that will start up their false claims of how great the SEC is as a whole over every other conference in college FB!!! It must work out like for ESECPN or their sports Giant loses tons of $$$$$$$$$$$ when their #1 backed conference starts getting beat by the Clemson's and other conference teams not a member of the SEC!!!
ESECPN was sure that when the made the choice to throw big cash at the SEC bc of big time college FB schools/teams like Bama, Florida, 10 A C, Aubarn, LSU, and a few other big time FB schools that were in the same SEC conference, that their $$$$$ was safe, and with their continued financial backing, that those schools would stay at the top of college FB, but their plan is falling apart, and they're doing whatever it takes to keep those schools talked about at the top, true or false, until they can turn them back in the right direction, but they keep falling in spite of the ESECPN big time cash!!!

So, if the committee wants the 4 best teams...

...it is easy.
1. Clemson 2. Ohio State 3. LSU 4. Bama
(LSU would get the three seed due to head to head.)

well, how much faith do you have in Vegas given them picking against Clemson in 6 of the 7 playoff games that we've been in?
And us being 5-2 straight up in those games and beating the spread in one that we lost (albeit on a late TD)?

It is unpossible that our defense gives up half as many points as our offense scores on either of those teams. It's just senseless, mindless poppycock to think otherwise.
