running with Gallman not once, but TWICE when the game was on the line in the fourth quarter. Incredibly stupid decision two plays in a row, when we had been passing on Pitt all game and only needed a first down to win the game.

he stated that those were the plays they had game-planned for that scenario -
he called it the 'package' -
and he admitted that that package was not well thought out from a coaching standpoint.
he took all the blame.
said the package had the wrong plays...

Totally crazy. When everyone on their team is expecting run behind #42 and #90 we actually pass it to mike Williams who is in 1 on 1 coverage? Wouldn't that be genius?

The point at least for me regarding the jumbo package is having the opponent known it's coming (a run) and they can't do anything about it. Basically saying our guys are bigger/stronger than yours

Would love to see a PA jet sweep with the jumbo package. Have to somehow avoid the "too many men in the backfield" penality but if there was a way you could get Scott to run the sweep route then hike the ball, fake the handoff to gallman or give it to him (depending on the coverage read). Seems like it'd work but who am I?
