Only loss is to us... they win the SEC, play us again in the 1st round of playoff and we precede to whoop that ### again. I hope they lose every game don’t get me wrong but imagine beating them twice in one season. EPIC!!!!

So we could possibly beat USUC and GT twice in the same year? Sounds good to me.
Only thing is, USUC is SEC and the Selection Committee would pair them with the easiest opponent in the first game. We would have to play one of Bama/Auburn/UGA in the first playoff game.

Bama did NOT play in the SEC Championship game in 2017, but played in the NC Playoffs and won the NC. So YES, it could easily happen - AGAIN. USUC does NOT have to beat Bama to make the playoffs, but just beat Auburn like UGA did last year.

I don't think SC's schedule would allow them to make the playoff without winning the SEC. Maybe if they were to beat Clemson but I don't see that happening. The East minus Georgia, will continue to be a raging dumpster fire.

I agree. It's not like we are Alabama coached by Saint Nick. But, a SEC title could get us in even with 2 losses depending on who they are to. A loss @ Clemson wouldn't hurt and maybe a road loss to Ole Miss as long as they have a good season. Have to beat Georgia though if we are going to stand a chance.

Wake Forest could win the Atlantic and our only loss is to them (they’d have the tie breaker). Wake takes care of business in the ACCCG, so they’d be in. Our only loss is to the ACC Champs so we’d be in. Man, that rematch would be EPIC!!!

I understand your point Lightning but Bama lost a conference game which cost them a chance to play in the SEC championship game last year but in the scenario of this post Carolina would only lose to us so they would have to play in the SEC championship game. I don't care who they play from the SEC west they will not win.

Gamecock football is bad. It's so bad that if Vegas put out odds that they will have a 10-win season in the next decade, nobody would take the bet. UGA will destroy them in Week 2. I suspect that they'll get thrashed by UT, UF and Ole Miss. Kentucky is about to put 5-straight Ls in their record books. And then they get us... in Clemson. We'll beat them by 40. If they make a bowl game by somehow winning 6 games, it'll be considered a major milestone for their program. Personally, I'm betting they win 5 of fewer games this year.
I can understand the appeal of beating them twice. But they only way that would happen is if Clemson somehow has a complete meltdown, winning 6-7 games and goes to the Independence Bowl. That would be a massive letdown for our program, but might be considered a Top 5 performance for USC.

Not just Kentucky... they are staring down the barrel of 3 fear the thumbs this year. Us, A&M, and Kentucky are prepping the 5 bombs. Not sure the UGA streak but they won’t be losing to them again anytime soon.

You got to be kidding. They first have to get past UGA (granted it's at home) but they have 3 road games against Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida) and you think they are going to go 11-1!

TBH that scenario wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit. I think our rivalry is much better when both teams are playing well. You have to admit beating a 9 win team is a lot better than beating a 3 win team.

I can admit beating the coots is better than beating pretty much everyone else (I personally love taking out FSU and ND was fun), and that it is as much fun to watch the Tigers crush a terrible coot team AND as a good one. We'll just have to settle for a mediocre one!

I grew up a Carolina fan. Two trips to Clemson in the early '80's fixed that. Still hope Coots can win 'cause it stinks to play a 1-21 team (thanks Lou..ser) and after all the Head Ball Sack did take a dump on Carolina and left them hanging. At least Muschump seems committed and going the right direction.
I was at the Navy debacle when USC could have had a chance to be something. They have great fans, why, I still can't figure.
7-5 or 8-4 is the best they can muster and sadly, Coot fans and administration are happy with that.
RUB "FEAR THE THUMB" AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE...It could end up being two thimbs before we're done.

I live in NECola and the older, wiser Usuck fans honestly think Jakie is overrated and their defense is suspect. They are hopeful offense will carry the GC team, but apprehensive as well.
I could see Muscrap and company losing to UGa., TAMU, Uk (road), Ole Miss. (road), UF and Clemson. Missouri is a toss-up. I predict a 7 - 5 season at best, especially if their O and D lines aren’t as sound as anticipated. They have good skill personnel, but very little solid depth and that alone will impact outcomes in tight games.
A 5 - 7 season would not surprise me in the least depending several key factors which could impact final results.
