Nailed it. By my count, Luke had 6 offensive linemen drafted just in his 8 years at Ole Miss from 2012-2019. Plus another Guard drafted in 2021 who played for Luke as an underclassmen at Ole Miss before Luke left for Georgia.
And then 8 Georgia linemen who played for Luke at some point that have been drafted since 2021.
So a total of 15l Matt Luke-coached guys have been drafted in the same span.

He's not cherry picking data. Just facts. Guess he proved you wrong on the Bama and uga numbers.
It's an easy sell for those teams against us. A Matt Luke should have been hired a decade ago.

Anchrum and Simpson brought it a few years back, but it's been bleak. Optimistic Luke will coach up this year's squad from below average to solid, and then bring in better talent. Go Tigers!

To have what would seem to be "better" OL talent, we would have to bring in all 5 star players bc our OL now consist mostly of 4 star talent. IMO the difference in 4 or 5 star talent is in the eye of the people who are making that call of who is a 4 star talent compared to 5 star talent. That call in most cases are so close that coaching is what makes the biggest deference in a 4 star compared to a 5 star player!!!

AO52, the difference is what 4* are they. I go more by what grade they're given. Yes, I agree that's true between a 96 grade 4* and a 98.5 5* but we've gotten 4* that grade 91 that really aren't comparable to the 5*. They usually could be coached up and contribute as a junior or senior, but so many of those 91s and 92s jump ship before giving any contribution... that's what frustrates Dabo.

I'm sure that you're right, but I was speaking in general terms the differences between 4 and 5 star players that get their ratings from people that probably never go and watch them play at their respective schools and they're being tagged with a star rating and that's the way I see it's being done, especially when they can place peal and stick stars by their names this month, and the next month they will peel off the 5th star and leaving them with 4 stars by their name. Just like what was done with Wesco, he was 5 star player one week, and a week later all of a sudden he was back to being listed as 4 star talent...
