Drag shows are not produced so that the dressed up characters are self-ridiculed. The drag show characters are trying to be shocking, sexy, or both. They are not wanting to be ridiculed.
Comedic cross dressing, on the other hand, is designed to induce ridicule of the cross dresser.

very thought of drag queens, and see danger where there is none. People who don't want their young kids exposed to real world drag queens do not necessarily fall into that category. We can be tolerant, kind, and respectful without agreeing and fully embracing, and we can teach our kids the same. Kids do not need to be exposed to drag queens to be taught that.

Private sporting organizations are free to set whatever bars they want for competition. If they (and their competitor members) think it is a problem they will address it.

Feel free to look at the professional women's sports leagues, professional Olympic sport level organizations (where they have things like hormone tests) and tell me where there is a widespread concern.

But the sports example just illustrates the absurdity of the entire trans movement, it's not the only or even primary problem people have.
There's a million other things that have added up to the backlash against the insanity, but I think you guys know that and are just trying to deflect at this point. This is how the 'right side of history' crowd rolls though, once the backlash starts so does the backpedaling, and that's exactly what the whole "ohh shucks, you guys made this into a bigger deal than it was" is. We saw the same thing with covid mandates.
However, those of us in reality recognize that the problem started with demanding society at large accommodate their delusions, and really caught fire once it came out kids were going on puberty blockers and being transitioned. Sorry, at that point we're reaching Nazi levels of barbarism and shockingly many people aren't OK with it.
And that's how we find ourselves where we are with all of this. Fox News and the GOP may have hopped on the bandwagon, but at the end of the day they had nothing to do with creating this issue.

But do you notice how when those topics get brought up here, just about everyone agrees?
The right wing fringe has ripped the pendulum off the ceiling and they're looking to use it as a weapon in this issue.
-Banning books that don't have anything to do with transgender stuff in the name of decency.
-Legislation to ban drag shows
-These absurd crybaby boycotts to ruin someone's business
-Making up lies about teachers and public education/transgender stuff to lump them in with the demonization
There are nearly 500 pending laws nationwide targeting this #### THAT ISN'T EVEN CLOSE TO AMERICA'S BIGGEST PROBLEM.
It is solely to rally the right-wing base and get the power back. They pulled this #### in 2004. Everyone fell for it. They pulled this #### with Civil Rights decades ago. People fell for it. People are increasingly homeschooling and sending their kids to private school for a reason, and it's not because public educators are doing a bang up job.

Fox news wasn't the reason for all of the angry parents at school board meetings, the actual content of the curriculum was. You've got the chain of events all out of order on this.

But it has an impact on the overall population, as evidence by the fact we're now mutilating children and 20% of the youngest generation is identifying as some sort of LGBQT whatever. Based on those stats alone there's a certain amount of programming happen, and it's time to dial back the gay and trans #### about 10 notches. So we CAN focus on those other issues you speak of.
It's gone well beyond live and let live, the argument you are trying to make had some merit 15 years ago, but not anymore.

Yes, they are. There is plenty of video and audio evidence. Is it all of them? No, but it's enough to be a problem. Frankly, the way many school boards acted towards concerned parents should be enough for anybody with a brain to realize things weren't on the up and up in those districts.
Covid opened the curtain for many parents to see what their children were being taught, that's what got a lot of the outrage rolling...along with mask mandates, etc.

If we want to dial it back, we need to stop forcing gay and trans garbage into every facet of peoples lives. Which is exactly what is happening, enough with the pronouns nonsense, not everything requires a pride flag, kids shouldn't be medically altered based on gender identity pseudo science, and you're not a woman if you have a peanus. Stopping the insanity would go a long way in getting people to stop talking about it.
The alternative is what we're living in now, it's not enough to simply be OK with gay and trans...You have to celebrate them, or you face intense social backlash and pressure. Now the shoe is starting to slip onto the other foot, and lots of whining has commenced.
I've got to admit, the propaganda works though. That's the only logical explanation I can come up with for people to think this is a Fox News/GOP manufactured issue while we're chemically castrating kids in this country(among other things). Like I mentioned earlier, it is legitimately Nazi level barbarism what is going on in some places, why would anyone be OK with it? I'd be more concerned if there weren't any outrage about it.

exposed to things in public, and certainly in schools, that they feel are inappropriate or harmful for them. If parents want to have their kids learn all about sex at age 6, they should by all means teach them about it. People who are not their parents have no right to make that call.
Schools should teach all kids: Be kind and respectful to all people, even if they are different or if you disagree with them. Do not tease or make fun of kids who look, act, or dress "different". Stand up for them and with them when other kids are mean to them.
Schools should not teach young kids: You need to understand and embrace the LGBTQ+ perspective. It's time to start thinking about sex and sexuality, and we are here to guide you. Listen to us, not your parents.

Why do leftists always conveniently miss the point of making it illegal for creepy adults to try to talk about sex with your six year, or illegal to have a parade full of sexual content in front of children, and instead make up straw man arguments about things that haven't happened?
