I have seen a lot of stuff about Foremans decision. Yeah it sucks he decommited but he is a great player and I and hopefully everyone on t-net would love to get him. I don't like that he decommited anymore then the other guy but for all of the hate I have seen him get for his opinion and decision it is kinda sad. Yes I know Dabo doesn't allow officials once you are commited and I love that he takes it seriously. But as a 21 year old senior at CSU I can see why a 17-18 year old "kid" would want to see other schools. I mean I would love to take my visits to schools like Bama, Oregon, FSU, etc. those places are probably really nice and would be nice to see the stadium and see what they are about. Like I said I agree and like Dabos stance on it that you are all in or you aren't. I don't think we should dog on a kid for wanting to see other programs. I would love to go to a game at FSU. I bet it is awesome. Not as awesome as Clemson of course but it would be cool to experience it once especially if its a win for my tigers while I am there. I know there are a lot of people joking about it and thats fine and even if you aren't that is fine to that is your opinion and your choice. But I can see where he is coming from. Do I love it no. I wish he would have stayed commited or took the visits before commiting, but he didn't. Hopefully we still get him. If this means his spot is gone then so be it. Patterson is a baller and we will be fine. But getting him wouldn't hurt either. Go Tigers!!!

Yep, and correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Foreman have an opportunity to take his visits before he committed to Clemson and he didn't. He didn't, and I'm sure that Dabo feels as if his rule about no visits after committing is being challenged when they decide they want to take visits after they have committed with Dabo telling them don't commit if they want to check out other schools!!!

Yes I agree that he should have taken the visits before commtting and I agree with Dabo standing firm and having him decommit to take his visits. It is a very serious thing to commit to a school especially the tigers and Dabo. he committed pretty early if I remember correctly as well. Could be wrong about that but if I am right I am sure that played a part into him wanting to check out other schools even if it was just for the visit and the chance to experience a school and atmosphere that he might never get to experience. Like I said I do not like that as a commit to Clemson he wanted to visit another school. He should have done that before committing. But that doesn't make him a worse player or person for wanting to do that. If I was the average 6'3'' athletically gifted guy instead of a 5'7'' musically gifted guy I would like to check out some other places just to get the experience. However I am not and even if I was 6'3'' and athletically gifted I'd pick Clemson without a second thought because that would be a dream come true to play there. Through the band at my highschool and college I've got to travel a good bit and Ive got to experience some awesome things and places so I can see where is coming from thats all I am saying.

Bubba, you can go on all of the visits you want

until you say you're committed to Clemson. Once you say you are committed to Clemson and then want to visit other schools, the question becomes "Why and what for?". You're either in or you're not.
We don't need any pr*ck teasers on our football team.

I know the stance Clemson and Dabo has on committing and visits. Like I said in my post I like and agree with it. I also said that i wish he would have taken the visits before committing. But for some people to say "he ruined his career" and think now all of a sudden think he isn't a great player and he wouldn't be great addition to the tigers is in my opinion out of place. Not saying you have said that but I have seen several comments like this and similar.

And those people are dumb. Don't mind if someone wants to go visit, just don't mind if you don't have that spot later. Savvy?

But the vocal minority will reply otherwise. Dabo can’t afford to wait on him anyways. He has to keep filling his class. But I don’t hate on him for being up front and for enjoying his visits.

I see where you are coming from and like I have said in my post and in comments to people multiple times I do not like that he wanted to take visits while he was committed. I AGREE with Dabo and like his stance on commtting. Just don't like the over the top negative stuff about Foreman for his decision when I can see why he would want to experience another part of the country. The anecdote comparing a college recruit to marriage is a little extreme but it makes sense. The main thing I guess I would say to that is that I wouldn't be with my "fiancee" in the first place if she would be wanting to try out 4 more guys before the marriage. She is a grown woman not a kid that has a chance to check out the nation at the age of 17-18.

It's not like he can't end up still signing with Clemson in the end; however, the offer remains only if there is still a spot available. You can't stop recruiting on the chance that he might come back to us.
If you want to date other people, then I'm going to date other people too...

Oh yeah 100% agree if this closed the spot then so be it. I just would like to see how the people that are hating would react if we had a spot and he recommitted tomorrow. If he goes somewhere else so be it. I'm sure he will have a greta career and I hope he does. We will be fine, but let him commit tomorrow and I am sure a lot of people's opinion of him would change all of a sudden.

After he committed to Clemson and was ALL IN...

he knew the stakes, knew the rules and committed anyway.
If people are giving him a hard time, they're in their right, just as he's in his right to go back on his word.
Seems fair & equitable to me.
I don't care where he ends up, the machinations between then and there are good fodder for many; I'll celebrate the new Tigers Dabo roll calls on NSD[s].

So I'm curious, if you agree with everything that everyone is saying and it seems you are, then what exactly is the point of your post? Foreman has no leg to stand on in this argument. He knew the conditions coming in and he decided he was above following the guidelines so he had to decommit. That can't be blamed on him being 17. He has adults to help him through the process. The rules are a simple concept that a 6th grader could comprehend. He and Burch would make good team mates.

and I respect anyone who has his standards and won't compromise those values. Foreman could have made those visits before committing but that wasn't his choice. Hopefully he'll come back around to Clemson. It'll be his loss otherwise, but it's his choice.
I think the fiancee analogy is the best. You're engaged or not engaged. There's no engagement with open dating.
