Friday night, went to Community Tap for a couple of beers with and to tell Mexico stories.
Slept terribly, ended up not getting out of bed until 11 am. Went to the Ales for ALS event where our humble home brew club raised more than $3000 for ALS research. Came home, watched some of the football that was available to me, watched AEW, then capped the night off with High Plains Drifter.
Sunday, I should have started working on my next YouTube video, but instead was super lazy.

Lotsa football on Saturday. Nice to see the Tigers show up.
Sunday, watched the Panthers get a TD on their opening drive and then head directly to the locker room
Mixed in some yard work along the way. Probably blew leaves off the driveway 5-6 times between Thursday and Sunday.
10/10 (19/19 on the RH Covids scale) with bonuses for the weather and a Tiger win
Did due a gin.

Off soapbox,
Traveled to PI to check on casa #2, seems to be in fine shape. We did have a visitor a few weeks ago who tried to get in around 10 am, she was either lost, still drunk or a hooker.

Friday went to J’s and hung out with her and the dogs. Fixed a shelf for her, ate Viva chicken, and finished watching The Bondsman. Good campy show and the 30 minute episodes are a plus. Frustrated that it got canceled with a big cliffhanger unresolved in the last episode though.
Saturday lots of chores until late afternoon then met GoAT and went to the ballgame. Had great fun. Lots of leg room, good folks around us who were there to have a good time. The lights on the band were fun.
Sunday usual with mom then crashed on the couch to recover from Saturday night.

2005 FSU grads that come to FSU Clemson every other year as their only game since graduating. They were thrilled with the price being much much lower than in the past. It was their first time in the lower deck. Not so thrilled with the reason why.
We had a good time commiserating over our respective seasons and talking about the good old days.

After a crazy weekend last up to Philly then watching the Dodgers until Sunday mawn, it was great to have a normal chill weekend.
Friday - came home, crashed, poured a DIPA, grilled burgers in the dark, ate, played a family card game, purdy much passed out.
Saturday - worked on a report, ran about 4 miles in gorgeous weather, worked some more, did laundry, ordered pizza, had a couple of beverages, watched the Tigers, then bed.
Sunday - church, failed NNN, did an urban hike with the dog and fam, came home, did Sunday evening family calls, made the fam a sketti dinner, early to bed.
My favorite kind of weekend.
11/10.

Friday went out to eat Mexican with some family.
Saturday, we went fishing. Tides were jacked because of the moon, but we were able to catch a few decent reds. It was a beautiful day on the water, and my bro in law and his youngest son went with us so we had a nice day. Got home in time to see the Tigers win, so that was a plus.
Sunday, I cleaned out my truck for the first time in about a month so it took me about 5 hours. Then watched NFL and smoked some meat.
Overall, pretty nice.

Mine used to get very cluttered and messy. I still don’t keep it clean as a lot of people do but I instituted a habit a few years back - I never walk in the house with an empty hand and it has cut the need for a big clean out by a huge amount.

Friday: not much
Saturday: did 3 bushels for the old man's 78th bday, had a good crowd show up despite the random rainstorm that appeared after a clear forecast all week. Lotsa good grub and beverages, got to see some faces I haven't seen in a minute.

Sunday: rudely awakened at 8am with a brutal hamstring cramp in left leg; hobbled to fridge and drank pickle juice straight from jar. Brefiss a couple hours later with the wifey and middle child, then a couple hours of napping on the couch to make up for the rude awakening.
8.7/10, no particular complaints besides hammy cramps.

Furnace burners got clogged with rust and dust. So had no heat until Friday. Waiting on new aluminum burners to be delivered. LOL Dirty Birds in Berlin.

to do a general cleanup and organization. Took awhile before I gave up and called it a day. Then on Saturday, Wifeof76er calls me in the middle of my afternoon nap to inform me she is stranded on the side of the road about a mile from our house, with, as it turned out, a completely ruined brand new front tire.
So, I get up, round up what I can, and go to change this tire on the side of the road. Quickly realized the tire was beyond repair, so drove it into a paved subdivision entrance, so the jack would have a solid surface to work with. Did I mention the rear cargo area of the SUV was full of shopping purchases? Guess where the spare on a 2020 Acadia is? So, all that had to be moved into MY Avalanche, just to get the spare out.
Wrong size socket forced me to use the woeful factory lug wrench. But at least I did have a NASCAR style jack to jack it up with. And the emergency spare, which had never been on the ground before, was only half flat. After all those shenanigans, my back is complaining so bad right now, I am barely mobile at all.
Other than that, everything was just PEACHY!

before so was added to team. So we won and knocked them off the top spot in the league.
Saturday morning got up and walked dog, took daughter to club volleyball practice and sat there for a couple hours. I do not promote parents watching practice, but that is a 30 minute drive back and forth so I am not doing that twice. Grabbed lunch on way home, watched Arsenal draw 2-2, walked all the dogs, then went to the Clemson FSU watch party at Bill's Brewing. Had to pivot to a new location due to logistics so it was a very small crowd.
Up Sunday, wife took daughter to UNCW Beach VB camp, then beach VB practice, then we all went to D!ck's to get joggers for kids (DSG jogging pants are $45, fml) because winter is coming and we only own shorts. Lastly, spent the evening at the school volleyball year-end banquet. Paid $30/head to eat cavatappi pasta with vodka sauce, sliced grilled chicken, and cookies. Cash bar. Felt like my $120 could have gone to at least a slightly better meal. Girls had fun as they all got real dressed up and took tons of photos, had beverages with some of the other parents.
Biggest negative of the weekend is I discovered my flip flop is literally hanging on by a thread. Will spend a stupid amount of time today researching which flop to get to replace this one with. Bought these in May 2023, is $75 too much for a flip flop that only lasts 2.5 years?

Walked three dogs and kept two cats separated from said aforementioned dogs on an endless cycle all weekend. Joonyer went to the game and then they left Clemson Sunday morning for a concert in Raleigh, so we have them until they get back to pick up their two pups today. Them's good boys, but it is a logistical challenge. Watched the game Saturday night, skipped the Thirsty Beaver Sunday because house full of animals...and that's pretty much the gist of the weekend.
Still, 19/19 Covids overall because them's good boys and girls. Except when they all started answering something that was howling in the woods at 3 am this morning.

That's nt always so much the case with cats...they're quicker than coyotes, can climb anything, and they fight back. We have three adult stray/feral cats we've seen cutting through the yard for the last few years. There is a large population of coyotes up and down the river bottom, and the felines seem to be surviving just fine...but I still won't leave my two out after dark.

Friday picked up some pizza and watched the first couple episodes of Pluribus. Looks pretty good, worth checking out IMO.
Saturday headed out for an afternoon of tailgating. We got to the spot before 1, just Wife-of, Son-of and I and the weather was glorious. We were expecting 3 other groups to join us, all coming from out of town and all later than planned because reasons, so we had a really nice family time for a couple hours before folks started showing up. Sudden rainstorm was exciting but passed quickly, and the tent kept most of the rain off of the chicken and brownies. Enjoyed meeting some new folks and kept drama at a low simmer from the usual suspect who always travels with drama, although we were chatting with a friend-of's daughter who is a current student and she had a few friends with her. Drama friend points at one of the college kids she'd just met and loudly announced that he reminded her of Napoleon Dynamite. Poor kid was flustered and we all came to his defense - and no he didn't really have ND vibes to me. Anyway, a nice time was had, and when it came time to pack up for the game we'd given our tickets away so Wife-of and I GTFO and were pulling into the driveway just as tigers scored their first TD. Watching from the recliner was pretty nice and got that W.
Sunday got up, enjoyed watching college football final for one of the first times all year, then got in one last long bike ride before the cold and dark makes those impossible. Sunday afternoon was pretty lazy, a couple of chores and some piddling.
Getting geared up for my big trip to Louisville in a few days, caint wait.
Would repeat, go all tigers, 69.420 out of 69

Fri.: Drove up with the five year old. Set up camp at Twin Lakes. For dinner we bought burgers from PF Meat Company in Pendleton. Holy cow, those were fantastic. I highly recommend that shop. Sonof wanted to go to the basketball and I scored two decent tickets for $25. I haven't been in Littlejohn since 2010. It's real nice. Team looks solid. Camped out. A.
Sat.: Had hot chocolate by the campfire before hitting up Waffle House. Shopped for waaaaay too much swag. Got lunch with old friends. The game was a lot of fun. You would have had zero clue we are a 3 win team from the atmosphere. The crowd showed up. We made it to halftime and then went back to camp. A.
Sun.: Up, sonof hadn't had smores yet so he we did that while I packed up camp. Waffle House part two for breakfast. Hit the road back to Alabama. The time change makes the drive back so so much easier. Once back, wifeof and I went to an open house. We love the house but not the location. Sonof slept for over 12 hours last night and had to be woken up to make it to daycare. A.

Friday - was in West Palm Beach for conference M-Th and got in late on Thursday night. Had to be in the office for visitors on Friday. Have no idea what we did for dinner. I think just ate some stuff at home.
Saturday - made a nice breakfast for the fam. My wife is set on starting to decorate for Christmas, so I brought in some stuff from garage and let her have at it. Watched some football and signed up for ESPN via Hulu so I could watch our game. Watch game...meh...but good to get the W.
Sunday - slept in and watched church from home. Daughter-of brought us home subs from Jersey Mike's. Placed grocery order on-line. Watched some NFL games. Fantasy team lost 2nd in a row.
Low-key, but overall pretty good.

Friday: first round playoff game did not disappoint...definitely the best game I have had all year probably because both teams were good...
Satday: up early to officiate 5 rec volleyball games...went home and watched Penn State lose then off to Clemson to do chain crew duties...more about that in my upcoming sideline report
Sunday: grocery shopping, laundry, Panthers do the most Panthers thing and lose to the 1-8 Saints...Bryce Young is not an NFL QB, I knew when NO committed to stopping the run and making the Panthers win by throwing that it was over
11/10 because I forgot how good winning felt and it #feelsgoodman

Friday - chill at home being good. Magic won 1st NBA Cup game, Tigers looked excellent, and UCF vs Houston was highly entertaining
Saturday - went down to Port St Lucie to spend day/night with old Clemson roommate and Golden Tee Championship. Dominated, winning all 3 rounds. Multiple shots of Jack Fire, their answer to Fireball.
Tigers dominate, more shots, this time tequila. Back to bar for victory celebration. Shot an all time low 26 under at Golden Tee
Sunday - back to the bar for Bloodys and more Golden Tee. I won all 7 matches over the weekend. Bartender did some things that made me feel like she was hitting on me, but am fairly unaware of these things because it never happens to me. Maybe she wasn't, but it was after she had already been tipped so maybe. Home, nap, and sushi
19/19 COVIDS because I saw live music by Les Dudek Thursday night

Fri - rainy/bad weather. ate pizza at home.
Sat - family errand run. once weather broke, finally got to do some yard work. my bluemuda is coming in nice, pretty stoked.
met hood bros for a few beers when all kiddos went down
Sun - woke up to another weather event, so my pristine lawn was covered in leaves again, lollers. cold, cloudy, misty, miserable. hung around inside most of the morning. took 4 yr old to buddy's kid's b-day party. cooked a steak. got freaky.
last morning of sleeping in, no gym. last week definitely took some years off my life.
