Football Players Roommate situations

Do you think the coaches put together players they think will complement each other on AND off the field. After reading the TJ Chase article where he said the coaches told him he would be rooming with Feaster, I started thinking about his academics. Feaster is an outstanding student and Chase could benefit from living with him provided Feaster offers up some tutoring. Also on the flip side they paired Scott with DW4 possibly to create a stronger bond on the field like Tajh had with Sammy. Just a thought.... So lucky to have the best coaching staff in the country at Clemson. Go Tigers!!

Absolutely, they take this into consideration. It provides an opportunity for key bonds and trust to form between players and can lead to outstanding results on and off the field. Obviously, Watson and Scott is the most notable example of this, but pairings happen every year.

Feaster won't be tutoring anyone lol. There's literally 3 tutors on the payroll for every player on the team, TJ will be fine.

Knowing that Deshaun and Mike Williams have been roommates their entire time at Clemson makes me think you might be onto something regarding the living situation though. ;)

I think they choose after freshmen year. My roommate (cam Scott) lived with non athletes this year hence how he ended up with me.

But sure how much the coaches can influence freshmen year. They probably do a little
