They are the ones that need the cold and hot tubs after a game. And they are the ones we pay good money to go and see. They are the ones that we talk sheet about if they don't play the way we expect. If they want to hear WE TOO DEEP in a chant for them, give it to them. I have no problems with it. WE TOO DEEP!!!

Has he ever noticed the demographics of a Clemson game? There is no way his idea is going to gain traction. About half of the students will try it, maybe... and most people will have no idea what's going on.
It's a lame idea anyway. Clemson games already have plenty for a defense to respond to.

I think this is pretty awesome! Yeah the quote may not be everyone's style, but think about what is happening. For the first time, in a long time, the fans are excited about the players and the players are excited by the fans! WE ask the world of our players and they really ask for nothing in return, except for us to chant something that they came up with and rally around. It's not like this is a 5-4 team asking the fans to do something. Whatever they need to get them over the edge, I am all in because at 8-1, WE TOOOOOOO DEEP!

Love new ideas! Should be fun. It always amazes me though how some people are so cared to try anything new, and not only are they scared to do it. they have to convince everyone else that they are stupid for even thinking about something new.
If you think about it, nothing new would ever get started with some of the narrow minded people's comments. for example:
"I'm not going to watch a butch of guys throw dead animal hide around and run between lines to try and get 6 points for crossing another line"
See what I mean, anything you dissect down too much sound stupid at some level. So if you don't like it fine, but no need to try and throw your self proclaimed John Wayne weight around to stop everyone else from trying new stuff that one day people like yourselves might declare as "what we've always done"
Again it's your right not to like it, that's cool but no need for all the negativity!
So I'll give it a try and it might be awesome, it might now. But at least its creative energy. Good for you Jenkins!!! Don't listen to people with no creativity, keep dreaming, you're not the only one!

okay, true, you do make a good point that at some level you can't say whatever anyone wants to say. And that could become a problem eventually.
But we are no where near that level. right now we kind of have a deficit of cheering weapons. Of course the best cheer is just cupping your hands around your mouth and making lots of noise which Tigers are the best at.
but It's a football game and no harm in trying to add in a few extra cheers. Again some work some don't. Cadence count is awesome! However no harm in experimenting with other things to add to our arsenal.

Shame on all the people saying they won't do this. I thought our job as fans was to support the players on the field. And now, when one of the actual players wants a simple cheer, you're "too cool" or too traditional to support him. It's pathetic really. Why not just throw those things aside and do what he asks and see if it gets the team fired up. My guess is that it will. It would show just how much support we have for them.

If this makes our boys happy, I'll do it. Will it make us look supportive to recruits watching? My guess is yes. Sometimes you have to break out of your boring conservative role and join in on the fun. I guess that's why my son says I'm the cool mom and asks me to come eat lunch with him and his friends at his middle school. The rest of you fuddy duds can do it or not. But don't be so condescending to our players and what makes them tick. Have fun dropping your kids off around the corner while mine hugs me and tells me he loves me in front of his friends.
