you know the dirtpeckers are clucking up a storm about this one. I mean they LOVE to refer to themselves as the flagship university of the state and they are in the SEC. why oh why wouldn't he brave the slums around willy B to sign there? He is a COOT himself after all.

That explains it and make no mistake, even though DRad sorta acted like he had something to do with it, that Tanner and cooterville pulls the strings when it comes to Gov McDump.
I've stayed away from it and therefore don't have much knowledge on what the bill says. I honestly think it's a mistake because now you have zero control over paying players.

What is most glaringly obvious and the bigger issue with this entire subject is the hypocrisy that is attached to it being held on the very campus of the single most vocal coach to loudly proclaim to anyone that would listen that he was against this ever happening. Of course when it began to become clear that the bill allowing players to profit from their image/likeness was going to happen, he kicked it in reverse and modified the objections he had previously so loudly proclaimed.
I can imagine what your crowd would have had to say if the roles were reversed whether you want to acknowledge it or not.
As far as our "esteemed" guvnahhh Mcmastahhh goes, the majority of our alumni have been fed up with him for quite some time. Personally I've never liked him and I am a conservative. It was his meddling that led to Caslen being appointed President of USC. It almost cost us our accreditation. The man is a bumbling idiot and we were of the opinion that Foghorn needed to gtfo long before this ceremony was even a thought. He is an embarrassment to USC. Hardly the "prize" that y'all seem to believe we view him as.

He will certainly have my vote over any DEMONRAT that runs against him.

Oh I won't vote liberal but if there is no other acceptable conservative option besides McMaster, I will abstain from casting a gubernatorial vote at all.

And, it'll go into effect only a YEAR LATER THAN SEC TEAMS.

But, they are politicians, after all. They can vote to move the start date up once it starts hurting recruiting. And it WILL hurt recruiting. All it takes now is one really really good player from a really really poor family, and one of the schools with a NIL Law that starts less than a month from now will ###### him away. And, in that situation, I couldn't really blame the kid, whoever it turns out to be.
