This guys looks great. Official 4.40 40, other great measurables at one of the opening events.
The lineman commit yesterday and this guy (assuming he commits) weren’t in anyone’s predictions a few weeks ago about how our class would finish. I’m happy for everyone that wants to be a tiger, and I also think it’s funny to be reminded every year that the coaches have other plans than the recruiting sites lay out for us.
Also, what happened with Trenton Simpson? Assuming he would play a nickel/Sam type of position, seems we would have had space to offer. Maybe the coaches told Flowe he’d be the last LB in our class? Again, they know what’s going on.
Just some comments that ran through my mind when seeing this so late in the process. This guys has 11 days until early signing period starts, I think. Dabo trying to drop our rating to cull the “greatest class ever” hype? Hahaha!

Months back, we were the solid #1 position in 2020 class recruiting rankings. And, it was projected to be perhaps the greatest bounty in recruiting history.
Now I see we have quietly slipped to #4. Anyone know what happened? Did we not land some key projected recruits?

We haven’t received a big commit in a while and our total number is still a bit low compared to some others.
If we finish like we hope to, we’ll end up #1 ... and it will indeed be an historic haul.

If those sites would actually allow us to claim the #1 recruiting class, then they wouldn't have a leg to stand on when they start the SEC teams being better than any conference and Clemson. When they say that an SEC team had the #1 recruiting class, they kind of use that as insinuating that the SEC recruits better and had the #1 recruiting class. If they name Clemson as having the #1 recruiting class, that wouldn't fit into their SEC king of recruiting, king of college FB agenda!!!

Some teams have added more recruits now. Also, it depends what site you go to. We are still 1 on 247 for example.

Quantity counts about as much as quality for most of the rankings and we haven't signed anybody lately while others have been adding on.

Wait, hang on. Maybe not a target, though that was my thought when I read that he (don't know who it was, doesn't matter,) committed elsewhere. We were one of his choices, so I figured he must have an offer. Maybe he was just putting it out there that we should offer him. Or he'd walk on. Either way, my mistake.
