Solving the football parking problem.

Clemson has plenty of land.
IPTAY is creating a parking issue to get more money out of everyone.
On Perimeter Road, going toward the golf course past the football practice area is a giant area where agriculture is grown.
You move that elsewhere and you have a large area for parking.
And don't say it's a drainage issue, that can be solved.

The last time this was brought up, someone who had connections to the AG department said there was some long-running experiment in that field that couldn't be moved.
I would love to be able to park there, and this seems to come up every year: "hey guys why don't we park there". Would like to see an explanation of what exactly is going on there. Something with the soil?

Agriculture field...

my connections with the AG department said this field used to be part of the Seneca river before the lake was built. The field has some of the most fertile soil in the state so they do a lot of ag experiments in the field.

There I should no parking problem. Pay for a spot or park and ride a bus in from the other lots. There is plenty of parking- it just not where you would wish it to be.
The problem resides in that people don't want to pay for premiums. They want it the way it has always been.
Stop, look around Clemson, times are changing. I hope and believe it is for the better.
Go Tigers!

We don't have a football parking problem, or at least not in the way you are suggesting.
We have the spots, they exist. Some folks just don't want to pay the premium for close parking or park and shuttle/walk in.
Both are possible depending on your situation, and so I don't see a problem that would approach the level of paving more of Clemson (and in so doing destroying part of the very soul and mission of the school)
