Finebaum was feeling Dabo out for a return to Bama.

Not like that. Maybe, I couldn't see Paul's hands but I don't think so.
Finebaum didn't tweet the essence or results of the interview. Dabo told him three stories about being punked by Bama twice at different times and one of almost but not quite. He was promised a Bama job twice and rejected after building his hopes of returning home. He also was planning on going with RichRod but Rich decided to stay at Clemson. He was basically telling Bama to F-off in a kind and Christ like manner. You know how he is.
At the end Finebaum said, 'This would be the point in the interview I'll refrain from asking you if you have ever considered going back to Alabama in the future because that is just an unbelievable story. I knew there was an interlude or two but I had no idea there were that many...'
Dabo saw it coming so he cut it short and wiped deep. Dabo said he was turned down by ND and a couple other programs during the years he struggled to get back to coaching. As humble as he is I believe Dabo has a case of the ### at Bama and a couple more programs for turning him down, including ND.
Dabo is a Tiger until he dies. I can feel it. If you saw the interview you'd feel it too.
The emphasis is mine, but it was Paul's first.

Read the OP again, slow down this time and try to wade through the details. Dabo basically told Bama via Finebaum to F-off.
Yeah, I read the link and the article first and I understand Tnet couldn't tell you all the truth without starting an internet war. I doubt the staff even watched the interview.

Several things here that are fact:
1. Dabo is loving Clemson and Clemson is loving him. He is on one heck of a ride right now and that will give him opportunity. 2. He is still born and raised Bama and still loves Bama. 3. He wanted to go to Bama 3x. We are very fortunate it didn't work out. 4. Saban doesn't have much longer at Bama and Dabo will be #1 on their speed dial.
The best scenario for Dabo is to win a couple of NC's at Clemson while the follower to Saban lives in misery. Then if Bama calls again he will have a very very hard decision.
Rumor already has it that Saban may go to the Coltsand people are calling for Dabo now. I really don't think he leaves Clemson any time soon.

Did you hear or watch the interview?

Of course you didn't. Had you watched it then you wouldn't be testifying to something of which you are ignorant. I appreciate your data but you don't seem to appreciate Dabo's experience with Bama since he left. Bama proposed to him three times and left him standing in the lurch.
I know what I heard. Dabo let Finebaum know Bama could stick a job offer up their azzes with a red hot poker.
If you didn't watch the interview then you have no idea what Dabo said.

Dabo has built too much here to walk away from now. If and when we have a slump in the future, and we will, We may have to worry. As for now we don't need to worry about Bama, Bama better worry about us!

I have never once bought into any talk that Dabo would bolt to the Alabama job if offered , or any other . My feeling is that he was given an opportunity to sink or swim at Clemson ...and he is killing it . He has made this program something to be respected , not if you're NC State South Carolina , but if you're Alabama or Ohio State as well . Dabo may retire a Tiger , a couple decades from now ...that is how I view it .

The future. Best case Dabo is win for 10 more years at Clemson and then let Saban replacement fail. Then go to Bama as the savior and ride off in sunset.
Or just stay at clemson for 20 more years of course.

NCAA outlawed them a couple years later so his pissing match with the prez was all for naught and Clemson suffered. Danny thought he was bigger than the school...Dabo doesn't.

Danny brought all that upon himself. Had he not challenged the president to a public penis-measuring contest IPTAY would have seen that he got everything he wanted. Dabo has no lack of patients and he's getting everything he ask for.
No intent on offending Danny fans, I love the guy and longed for Clemson too rehire him when he came forward and offered to coach for nothing. He and I both regret his obstinance.

You are right and I voted for you. None of us knows what is in the future and we all need to just enjoy the moments and the time we are in right now, number one# in the nation! Dabo is pretty much a genius as far as building a program and getting to the very top with it along with Danny Ford! in 1981! May God bless both of them!??

If you also look at Danny being back around Clemson Football these days.... I think that's a good indicator of his approval of the progran, and I'm sure he's passed on what he learned from his mistakes.
