OP is reacting to a rather lucid caller on Finebaum who was suggesting he fold his ESPN tent and go back to regional independent radio. Finebaum, as he's wont to do, played along with the caller and farcically declared an end to his show...I know Finebaum is a pure SEC homer, but I'm stuck in traffic in Charleston at 530pm and it's either him or that pathetic coot show hosted by Bobby Hartin...then in the morning we get the equally sophomoric rantings of another coot-Jamey Bradford or something like that...2 shamecock homers and an SEC sycophant! That is Charleston sports radio!

But Finebaum sure does joke about his job security often.....almost have to assume it’s on the back of his mind, knowing at some point ESPN will adjust the programming again to his disadvantage.
He’s ok but the amazing thing to me is how little he actually contributes to the sports world. No real analysis or quality explanation of what’s going on unless it’s a behind the scenes journalism type story.....he’s definitely any more knowledgeable that some avg fan about sec topics. He just fields calls, handles most of them poorly, doesn’t ever say much and it wears me out that he just runs into his commercial break....no lead out, it just happens, lol.
