Blowout!!

I saw an earlier post where it was mentioned that the game last night was a blowout. To me, a blowout is not a game that is a one score game going into the final minute. Regardless of play and domination of the line, etc., the game was not over until the pick six made it LOOK like a blowout.

I agree. Our 44 to 16 win was definitely what I would define as a blow out!!! And there was that beautiful nine or 10 minute drive we had to end the game. Total domination in the game by a fantastic Clemson team!!

Final score always shapes narrative no matter how the game went

Like our game vs A&M a couple years ago. 24-10 with A&M scoring in the last 10 seconds. It made the narrative all season that it was somewhat close rather than the 24-3 blowout score which would’ve been more accurate.

Not even close. The kid was behind the 8 ball and desperately trying to just make a play. The pic 6 was not a great defensive play. The throw was essentially a hail Mary.

Bama attempted one QB run on the 2 PT play. They'll continue to spin it as the greatest win ever.

Exactly. Not to mention that the Georgia defense only had to be concerned with defending the pass on the last two Alabama series. Odds of a pic increase greatly.
Bama moved the ball well the entire game between the 20’s. Three times a long pass got them inside the 10, but they stalled and settled for field goals.

Agree.. its about how the game goes.. not the final score. LSU Natty in 2019 wasnt a blowout. They pulled away at the end so 42-25 didnt look great but we were in that game into the 4th quarter. They got a solid win over us but they far from blew us out.

2013 FSU.. blowout
2020 Ohio State.. blowout
I will admit when it happens but some people just take the final score and ignore the game.
