football just a little as the acc agrees to distribute more money to the top teams. I mean, how pissed will this board be if Clemson has a couple years finishing 3rd or 4th or worse, to make less money than a Miami, FSU, Pitt or anyone else. Wouldn’t want to be Dabo (unless of course he moves on and is making $15m/yr at Bama) or the players if that time came. Money for winning has its downfalls too.

the Clemson BOT be happy about it? I doubt it very seriously they would and that IS the board that matters.
If Dabo "moves on", I'm positive that the Clemson BOT would do whatever it takes to bring Clemson back to the top.
If you were a longtime Clemson follower, you would've known this.

Extremely aware of the ups and downs in performance over decades of time with Clemson athletics, and football. This has been one hell of a run, unlike Clemson has ever seen.
I’m not naive to think that at some point there will be a dip, it’s normal and natural.

Not at all sure this whole scenario being bandied about if 3 new teams come on board then a substantial amount of money will be paid out for ‘performance’ in football is some great idea. And I do think this place would explode, and yes the BOT would as well, if all of a sudden Clemson was $10m-15m (or whatever the number) behind a conference foe it the law of averages comes into play at exactly the wrong time for our school.
