There's a reason this guy has been considered a 12th starter forever...he's our best blocker by a mile among our TE's, is extremely instrumental to the run game, especially in short-yardage. The more you watch him on tape, the more you appreciate him.
This one stings, no getting around it. Hope he's back and healthy soon.

Man I hate to see this, he was our best blocking TE by far and heard he's been working on his passing game expected him to do big things again this year. Hopefully he can be back by mid season but don't want to rush him just hope he has speedy recovery! Milan and Cannon def need to step up now with losing legget now this. Think they will too feel like Richards will have a break out season.

Hate this as well.
Great kid. Good family. Great blocker. Just a fundamentally sound football player.
Need Milan to step up but all I remember last year when it came to Milan trying to block was he would either whiff or move out of the way.

How well versed are the other tight ends in the blocking phase of the game? Will Williams be healthy enough to be back this season to be a real factor?

Yep. I hate it, that will hurt come this fall. Hopefully he will have a quick recovery where he will be available for at least part of the season. If not, then perhaps a medical redshirt? (Can't remember if he was redshirted earlier or not)

No he is a true junior he did not redshirt as a freshman so If he's not back by mid season he just needs to take the medical redshirt. Unless we need him bad which I don't think will be the case he will be a big lose but I think someone else will step up and be that blocking TE( I think it will be chalk) while Milan and cannon will be our mismatch passing threats. No need to waste his junior year of eligibility and rush his return if we dont absolutely HAVE to.

It took an injury to Palmer for Allen to finally get his shot and he ended up being better. I think the same will happen with Williams and Richard.
