If a $10k set of luggage recognizing his alma mater is his biggest indulgence I bet he'll be alright. Relative to earnings my trip to the ACC championship was way more excessive.

afford to buy or maintain. bankrupt is a lifestyle that 95% of us can't afford, just see Curt Schilling, Mike Tyson, Lenny Dykstra, Mark Brunell or Evander Holyfield for that. but going broke is something altogether different and much much worse.
CJ can afford a $10K luggage set, and is probably handling his money quite well...
let's not forget that he is a Clemson man...

broke - spent all of your money
bankrupt - get to keep some things that other people paid for
broke - get to keep the things that you paid for
I'll take broke over bankrupt any day.

broke is worse because you end up selling, hocking, pawning those things that you initially thought you could keep so you end up with nothing at all...
by the way, look at all the athletes that are bankrupt and you will see that their lifestyle is still a few tax brackets above most of us working peeps...
also, you will make bankruptcy payments(cents on the dollar, but you will make them) or you will go broke...

You know, CJ is one of the main reasons we are playing for the NC this year. Dabo got him to visit Clemson and the rest is history. CJ is only responsible for CJ and his family. He can spend his money anyway he wants to, just like you spend yours. He is after all supporting Clemson big time. He might cook at home and you eat out. He might think that is a waste for you to do that. With all of the aches and pains he will have for life, he deserves anything they pay him and he can spend it how he wants to.

WELL, If I had his money for a "custom" set, personally I would have gotten ostrich skin instead...that way it would have looked like a "PLUCKED CHICKEN"!
