No debate Chipper for me. I also love Griffey Jr., Biggio, Bonds, Ted Williams, Pete Rose, Maddux (the whole Braves staff in the 90's) and always enjoyed watching Randy Johnson pitch. But chipper for me. You?

Ken Griffeys swing, Sosas charisma, Johnson’s heater, idc what anyone says the “steroid” era was the best era of baseball. Baseball when I was a kid was so much better then now.

I followed baseball a lot more then, so I don't know if it is a fair comparison for me, but I agree. I would show my step son videos of Barry Bonds and tell him to model his swing like him. Griffey Jr was effortless, but Bonds's swing was just better to me from a technical stand point.
I'm a Braves fan so I would say Murphy, Pendleton, and Smoltz were my favorites. Pendleton less as a baseball player, but more because of what I see of his importance in starting the Braves run in the 90's.

Ted Williams for me. I wasn't born when he hit .406 in 1941, but I do remember his .388 in 1957 when he was 38 years old. I couldn't wait to get home from school every day and check the box score in the sports page.
Wonder what TW's numbers would have been if he hadn't missed 5 years of his prime for WW II and the Korean War as a Marine fighter pilot. He was John Glenn's wingman in Korea.

Freeman. He has got to be the most humble superstar player I have ever seen. And, after all this time, he still seems to enjoy the game like a little kid. Chipper Jones was that way as well.

I grew up a fan of Baltimore and St. Louis. I saw Brooks Robinson make three errors in one game in the old stadium in Baltimore, which is unheard of. They were playing Oakland. Vida Blue pitched that game for Oakland. My favorite player.....Bob Gibson of St. Louis. He didn't mess around between pitches and his games finished much faster than most.

Dad was a True Tiger through and through . . . He loved him some “Mr Tiger” . . . aka Al Kaline
Growing up . . . I was thrilled by Niekro and Hank
A little later it was the trio of Smoltz, Glavin and Maddux
Then Chipper . . . Now Freddie . . .
If I had to put just one down, Greg Maddux is the one I enjoyed watching the most!!!
My favorite non-Brave is “The Human Vacuum” . . . Brooks Robinson

Had to look that one up!!! . . .
“Floyd was born in Gastonia, North Carolina. He received the nickname "Sleepy" playing baseball in the fourth grade, when a spectator yelled "Get that kid out of the game. He’s sleeping."”
Played basketball for Georgetown and then the Nets . . .
Kudos for making me look for the baseball connection!!!

Non Braves player would be Pete Rose. The rest is a long line of Braves players. Jones, Freeman, Murphy, and anyone on the pitching staff in the 90’s. Much love as well for Mr. Bobby Cox.

to watch because the braves were terrible. But thankfully WTBS had all of their games on so it was good to watch the other team. I really enjoyed watching the Expos because they had a great team with Tim Raines, Al Oliver, Chris Speier, Andre Dawson, and Tim Wallach. I would have to say Tim Raines was my favorite and he had a great career. Back then we could only watch baseball on saturday on NBC if the braves weren't playing. We didn't get WGN which had the cubs on. Although the braves were terrible I'm thankful that WTBS had them on.

I grew up a rabid Big Red Machine fan. Johnny Bench, Little Joe Morgan, George Foster, Ken Griffey (the original) and Charley Hustle. The latter lost some luster later in his career, and yes he had a problem. But watching how he played the game I still have to tip my hat.

I use to get the biggest kick out of watching Fidrych talk to the ball.

Jackie Robinson! I did not see him play in person but being a Dodger fan, he is my favorite Dodger player and overall player. I also loved watching Tony Gwynn and Rod Carew hit. They both had beautiful swings. Watching Nolan Ryan and Randy Johnson pitch was amazing. Also liked watching Gorman Thomas play since he was from South Carolina.

My favorite baseball players are Hank Aaron and Chipper Jones, with a shoutout to the pitchers--Glavine, Maddux, and Smoltz, along with the current player, Freddie Freeman. The first team I ever watched as a kid was the Dodgers. My favorite then was pitcher Sandy Koufax. I forgot one important player, Jim Rice of the Red Sox, who played for T.L. Hanna.

It was Hank Aaron before that growing up, but Phil Niekro took over with his ageless fun and competitiveness from there. Not the best player by a long shot - pretty sure he led the league in wins and losses in the same year once - but my favorite to watch. His clutch pitching, and hitting (a homer), down the stretch in '82 to rescue that division title was epic.

Thanks to growing up with WGN and TBS, it was probably a tie between Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg, and Dale Murphy.
