Flying up to Boston tonight...

|

Looking forward to seeing another Tiger win.
Boston College is an unusual place to watch a game and the whole "great atmosphere" comment is a bit funny to me. BC fans don't really tailgate (either before or after the game). They slowly trickle into the stadium throughout the first quarter so about the time the second quarter gets underway, the stadium starts filling-up. Even then, Alumni Stadium only seats about 44,000. Not sure you can really have a "great atmosphere" with only 44,000 and a large percentage of those will be Clemson fans. Last weekend in Clemson was a "great atmosphere". Maybe he means "great atmosphere" by BC standards.

WAKE WAS A GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND THEY HOLD LESS. CAN NOT REALLY FIGURE OUT WHAT TAILGATING HAS TO DO WITH GAME ATMOSPHERE. IT WILL BE RED BANDANA GAME. I HAVE BEEN TO AT LEAST ONE OF THOSE. IT IS THEIR BIG GAME. IT CERTAINLY WILL NOT COME CLOSE TO A CLEMSON ATMOSPHERE BUT WHERE IS.

Remember, it is in Massachusetts and it is not a professional sporting event. That alone will temper expectations.

"Fans will be PERMITTED to tailgate..."
Oct 6, 2022, 9:05 AM
|
|
"...four hours prior to kickoff. For weekend games that begin at 3 p.m. and earlier, fans will be permitted to tailgate one hour following the contest as well."
"Individuals must make a donation to the Flynn Fund at or above the anticipated minimum for their preferred parking lot and have football season tickets in their name."
https://flynnfund.bceagles.com/faq/
This is an improvement to the old ways, but I don't know what's worse: the wine, cheese and stemware crowd at UNCheat or all of BC's regulations. I'm sure you THINK your "atmosphere" will be "great" coach, but compared to the rest of college football, it will have all the charm and excitement of a funeral.

I am sure it will have the same affect as the Syracuse keys-jangling.

So he is storming the field wearing a Covid mask?

I certainly hope he wore this the entire game!
And I hope he brought enough masks for everyone.

Great atmosphere for a History major...but that is about it...Unless some of the Clemson players are interested in historical sites...... Paul Revere and Benjamin Franklin and such.

They will have students come out of the coffee house and line up on both sides snapping their fingers as their team runs out to Bob Dylan music.
