They don't have Todd Monken anymore, they're a couple years behind where we fell off but on the exact same slide. Replacing great coordinators with family/friends on staff.

All that leaked audio did for me personally was highlight why he’s been so successful and it’s because he has/gets his players ready to lay it all on the line for 4 qtrs.
Like I said, I’m sure there’s WAY worse said in locker rooms than what Kirby said in that audio.

Why does everyone think Kirby is a great coach he has had the top 3 most talented team since he has been there. Much better at recruiting than coaching. His hire of Bobo very similar to dabos hire of Streeter. Bobo lots more experience but definitely not elite.

I have always said that I could be the head coach at Georgia and have a top five recruiting class. Kirby does not have to recruit. The State of Georgia annually churns out elite football players that have grown up Dawg fans.

Kirby has a very short leash, pun intended, in Athens. The dawg admin and fans are ok with all of the off field issues as long as the team wins. If the team does not win, folks will quickly become vocal and expect action. They would have already fired Dabo. Those two titles that Kirby has won will mean nothing if he starts consistently losing important games. I hope that Dabo appreciates the grace that he has been given at Clemson. Not too many coaches in Dabo’s shoes are given the time to right the ship and correct issues.

What are Dabos shoes that most Coaches would be in. Someone who was up the top tier for seven years and then had had 3 years of the kind of success that gets most coaches multi year extensions. Or the shoes of looking bad in the first four games of a season.
Kirby is definitely in the same shoes as fans overrating.

Clemson football has not been at an elite level since Trevor left. When is the last time that Clemson laid the wood to a team in the playoffs? Take it a step further. Look at the ACC loses at home that have occurred. Dabo’s own former players are commenting on the product on the field. “Team has no dogs on the field” and “Best is the Standard” slogan cannot be redefined are the two that I remember. Also Ben B made a comment a year or so ago about the poor play of the Clemson Defense.
I like Dabo and I want him to be successful. If another school were paying him top five coach money and went through the DJ and Cade years, he would gone. What I am trying to say is Clemson is giving him grace when other schools would not. Dabo is supposed to be fielding an elite team and has not done that for several years now.

I thought of another way to try to explain. Keep in mind I am a long time season ticket holder including the West and Hatfield years. So I am loyal to Clemson football and will be in the stadium to support the team regardless of record.
Because of Dabo’s prior success, he earned the right to navigate the portal and NIL his way. This is supposed to be the year that his way rose to the top with a home grown elite team led by a fourth year qb. This team was supposed to put Clemson Football back on the map. We all know what has happened so no need to rehash.
Now look at the schools that that are supposed to be Clemson football’s elite peers. Those schools would be firing Dabo at the end of this season.
I stated on here that a couple of weeks ago that Dabo has the weight of Clemson Athletics squarely on his shoulders. The ACC has implemented a tiered pay structure and conference realignment is coming up soon. This is not the time for Clemson football to flounder and underperform. I have been praying for Dabo to be successful and understand his path forward. He may decide that he no longer wants to navigate the mess that has become college football. If he stays, he is going to have to find a different way to move forward because what he just did is not the answer.

The lost to a team that could very well end up 10-2 and in tbe playoffs. Georgia, Bama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and LSU could all be in. 2-3 from BIG, and 2 from.ACC. The remaining 2 are Big 12 and the non power 5 team. Looking at that field, Georgia could make the semi finals at least. They will be just fine.

Those fans are absolutely insane. Most Clemson fans did not want Dabo to be gone until this year. I would say that’s the same with Georgia fans. Yeah you have a few outliers that scream fire everybody every game they lose. You have those in every fan base.
The question is, is the core of their base asking for Kirby to be fired? No.
The past four years was the core of Clemson’s fanbase, asking for Dabo to be fired? No. I’d argue the core of Clemson’s fan base doesn’t want him fired even now. There needs to be a mutual parting of ways. The goat of Clemson coaches does not need to be fired. I don’t care if he runs us into the ground. I trust that Dabo will look in the mirror one day and realize it’s time for him to go.

So many people on here will nit pick and dice up Dabos record with Venables or With elite QBs or without. Be consentient and do the same to Kirby. Hasn't won a title without Stetson/Todd monken. Since Monken has left they haven't won a playoff game... This site would call that falling off.
Truth be told they should've lost to GT at home if not for shameful refs, would've gotten blown out by UT if not for Bru McCoy and the other starting corner being out and it still came down to a kicker missing a FG for them to win.
He's also under the "hiring family and friends" mantra that this site hates.
People act like Kirby is saban, laughably untrue. Everyone always says "what have you done lately" well UGA hasn't won a playoff game post Todd Monken leaving, seems like he was the real brains of the operation, much like how folks point to Venables leaving being a turning point for us.
Not to mention Kirby loves some drunk guys racing and leaving each other dead on the side of the road and it continuing to be a problem.
