Good morning everyone how was your weekend?

Friday, I had to go to Charlotte to take a test for work. Not a pee test, a knowledge test. I passed and now an called a certified export specialist. Please don't ask me about exports. Was done and heading back home around 11 am but the ride back took forever as there was some mess on 85 and a lot of people took the GPS advice to avoid it, which made that way suck to. Finally get back around 2. Didn't do a whole lot Friday evening.
Saturday, up and early to get to Northern Tool before the crowds make Woodruff Rd. impassable. I got a new jig saw (M18 Fuel) and a 5 amp hour battery for $190. I hope I like this saw better than my el chapo Black and Decker. Worked on my next video, did some yard work, at some tacos.
Sunday, smoked some Cheese-Its for a party, went to said party, an enjoyable time was had.

Grandkids in town for a week and that is always special. Especially the 10 year girl who loves to tease me. She will watch college football with me too! The older one, at 13, she is awesome, too. Love ‘em so much.
Great church time with family and friends and, OH, I had a Eagle on the par 5, #12 hole, at the local golf course! Been a minute since I had one of those. Second shot landed at edge of green and I sank the 12 ft putt, downhill and breaking to the left, like it was nothing! Then, I had a double on the next hole. But who cares about that!
Hope everyone had a Great weekend!

Fri night - met wife and kids at Pizza place and watched a movie at home
Sat - Easter event for kids at church, went to Dad's for Easter get together and fished off the dock and ate ham and deviled eggs and other good stuff. We landed 7 species from the dock (bass, bream, crappie, yeller perch, channel cat, carp, and flatheads).
The highlight was my nephew landing a 38 lb flathead while we were eating dinner.
Sunday - He is Risen! Went to church then home and grilled burgers. Plugged 3 holes. I had a nail in the back right tire and a screw in the front left tire. Injured my person in both repairs. Finally put down a threshold (2X) in the metal building / garage doors.

Friday was mostly yard work and checking on baseball and softball scores
Saturday was a long day at Glendale Shoals for the Spartanburg Earth Day Festival. The weather was perfect, the music was tolerable (a nice change compared to last year), the hawk and falcon were cool, the kids were well behaved, the hot dogs were good and not over priced, and I managed to not abuse the free beer.
Sunday usual with mom only Easter edition.
Added bonus, I have the dogs this weekend and they haven’t been any trouble at all so far.

Friday played hooky from work with Ms Pabst and spent time in some private gardens around CLT.
Saturday took Mrs Pabst and Grandma Pabst and did the Voices of the Past tour in Elm wood, Pinewood and Settlers Ridge cemeteries in CLT. Pretty cool stuff.
Then Sunday went to the wonkiest baseball game ever bn CLT knights and Nashville Sounds. 19 conbined runs were scores before the bottom of 7th, all from home runs.
Great weekend.

…not that kind. Aside from almost contracting simultaneous cases of diabeetus and heart disease from a supposed best breakfast place, it was all good.
Bought a bunch of plants Satdee mawn from the ag kids program in Mobile county, should have good crop of eggplant, squash, and a variety of peppers. Pretty much outside all weekend. Drank a couple of weed waters last night, fell asleep on couch, even drooled a little.
8 out of 10 felder rushings, would do again.

Friday, decided at the last minute to go to the Winthrop baseball game. Glorious day to be outside, the tickets are cheap and the stadium sells beer, the home team won 15-0 and we got to see two grand slams.
Saturday, went to Slow Play Brewing for their 420 event with Joonyer and DIL. Drank beers and watched a Phish tribute band and a Grateful Dead tribute band.
Sunday, Thirsty Beaver for The Filthy Heathens. These guys are a killer Southern rock band and put on a freaking PHENOMENAL show. The closer saw both guitarists and the bass player up on top of the bar doing as great a cover of War Pigs LOUD as I've ever witnessed. In between they covered ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Mountain, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard (and pulled a random hot chick out of the audience to sing with them). They started out doing Rage Against The Machine Killing In The Name and morphed it into Eddie Rabbitt's Driving My Life Away. I'm here to testify friends and neighbors...CATCH THESE GUYS LIVE IF YOU GET A CHANCE.
190/19 Covids, a stellar weekend for sure.

I think she's only in RH a couple of days every week as long as there is some sort of Clemson athletics event she can go to. Once all sports are exhausted for the year, she'll be at home around the pool for a couple of months before doing it all over again next year, LOL. We're staying at her place next Saturday for the Bananas game.

Friday I skipped out of work and went to the beach for the afternoon. Nice day out there. Had a couple beverages. Hit up a decent taco spot for dinner, took the kids for ice cream while wife and her friend had beverages at a nearby bar.
Saturday up for daughter to play in Beach Volleyball tourney benefit for UNCW Beach Volleyball. It was Women's B/BB levels (A was the actual UNCW women) so they went 2-2 in pool play, got a bye into the playoffs but lost in knockouts. Went home to shower, back to Captain Bill's to pick her up from a friends birthday party there. I think she spent 11 hours playing and watching beach volleyball.
Up Sunday morning for Sunrise service on Wrightsville Beach. Home for naps then back to the beach for a couple hours. Home to shower again then out to Greenfield Lake Amp for Keller Williams Grateful Gospel. Keller did the first set solo, was great, then the whole band came out and played Grateful Dead and JGB tunes with a bit of a gospel twist. Was great, really really great. Home by 9:30 and asleep.
Good weekend, need some recovery time. Probably not gonna happen.

Let's back up to before Friday. 19She and 19B both had some congestion on Wednesday/Thursday, nothing serious, didn't feel bad. I had a coughing fit at 4am on Friday morning that kept me up (and straight up infuriated me) for a couple hours. Finally fell back asleep, missed some work calls, and slept almost the entire day. Weird. Slept another 12 hours Friday night. Also very weird for me.
Saturday: old roomie driving into town from Seneker for the Uncle Mingo/Spidermonkey show. I'm less than excited because officially sick at this point, but planning to power drink through it, consequences be damned. Got some tacos at Papi's before hitting the Jammer. Mingo was good, as usual, you know what you're getting with the. Spidermonkey...I've managed to miss the other times they've played the Jammer in the last 5 years, so this was officially the first time I've seen them since the '90s.
Let's just say that IE is basically correct here--Todd (lead singer) is like a way less famous Axl Rose. Literally every song was accompanied by the pre- and post-amble "LET'S MAKE SOME FUCKIN NOISE!" Sure, Todd. The rest of the band at least looked like they hadn't given up on life. Also, the multiple mentions of "There's no dry panties in the house!" and "We don't sell dry panties at the merch stand!", also, sure, Todd. Still fun, I'm also good if I don't see Spidermonkey again in this lifetime. Being sick didn't help much, spent a lot of the evening just hanging back instead of being in the mix.
Oh yeah, this was my bar tab number at Windjammer:

Easter: nothin'. Laid around, napped, stayed up too late because nap.
6.7/10 because Mingo, I reckon.

Doesn't seem to keep him from screaming though. And he definitely making some ###### noise now. IMO, they have reached the "unlistenable" stage. But yeah, the band still sounds pretty strong. I'm with you on never having to see them again. Todd is funny, but the screaming is turrible.
I saw most of Uncle Mingo play Friday night at Mainland Container (playing as Radio Bomb). Jason the keyboard/sax player had a big weekend as he also played with East Coast Party Band Sunday at Waters Edge. I woke up feeling so terrible Saturday that I didn't get out of bed until Sunday. I wanted to see Mingo but there was no way I was going feeling as bad I did/do. I too have a terrible cough and general feeling awful that took me out after a few beers Friday niht; I even slept right through my day before the second to last day of work today.

Fri - great morning workout. Work was fun and lots to do. Took my son to a friend's birthday party and then wife and I took daughter to dinner. Had many drinks and we all rode our bikes home. Went back out later and hung out with the crew till about 1230. Then got home.
Saturday - hungover but still got in 4 miles of running and an hour lift sesh. Baseball practice for two hours and then nap time for the whole family. Bought some new running shoes, then grabbed a beer on the way home. Pizza dinner and did absolutely zero but watch baseball.
Sunday - another good 4.25 miles outside before church. Church and then everyone came to our house until about 4pm. Kids played with neighborhood friends, and I watched baseball. Exhausted and went to bed early.
Amazing weekend that encompassed family, friends, drinks and working out. 10/10
