Face masks are now REQUIRED at Littlejohn

In accordance with Clemson University's announcement on Jan. 3, face masks are now REQUIRED inside all University buildings statewide for all persons until further notice, unless actively eating or drinking. This requirement applies to all individuals within Littlejohn Coliseum at basketball games until this protocol is lifted by Clemson University.

Yes because after 2 years it has been proven the virus disappears when ppl wears mask. The sad thing is this is a school of higher learning. You'd think common sense runs somewhere through the buildings there but obviously not. I'm not going anyways so it doesn't matter to me if people want to be dumb and do things that have shown to have no effect unless you're sick and if you're sick you probably shouldn't be at the game. Mask are somewhat effective if you're sick and breathing things out but useless unless worn under very specific circumstances using very specific mask. Plenty of studies on mask and very minimal advantages yet we have ppl who continue to either think they are smarter than everyone or who have a power trip going on. As long as there are sheeple there will be their overlords looking to give them orders to follow. It's been 2 years you'd think ppl would understand after 2 years the Government isn't keeping you safe but whatever. Eventually the truth will come out and will show who was right. The only question is how long will it take.

Have you seen how many droplets someone spreads when they cough, sneeze, or even breathe? Common sense says masks help slow down the spread of diseases like COVID-19.

Care to provide data on the spread of Omicron through droplets vs. breathing? The estimate I saw was 10% spread through droplets. If that is correct, masks will block about 8.5% of infections. I think that is an overestimation, but I like to err on the side of safety. Droplets are more responsible for bacterial spread. Virus are small, light. Less than 1/1000 the size of the smallest opening in your paper mask.

My son is a student at Clemson. He was about to attend the game with Virginia until this nonsense raised its head again. I was thinking of coming up too but forget it now. I, and many folks I know, are done submitting to this political theater of masking. The nation has been doing this crap for two years and if you listen to some common sense information instead of the government/corporate/media complex you’d know how nearly ineffective masks are in settings like this and even in the home.
I hate to get political but enough is enough Clemson!, Good grief can we all just move on. ?

I mean how clear does it have to be? Covid and it's variants have done whatever they're gonna regardless of wearing face underwear.
The best chance we had at corralling covid is long past. Masks are obviously ridiculously poor at stopping anything. When does the world just stop even trying? The virus and all the mutations will run their course no matter if people wear face diapers or not.
Get a vaccine or not... the only real option we have is to let it run its course.
Don't know when folks are finally going to figure it out... its going to run it's course regardless.
Just open life back up, no restrictions, just like it was pre-covid. We're not going to stop nature from running its course. Period.

I still remember early on in the pandemic a doctor in our church congregation addressed us with his professional opinion. He said “do what you can to protect yourself and others but understand that almost all of us will get this thing before it plays out”. How right he was!
