broadcast? For me, it's easy. It's a made up word that I think was first voiced by Chris Fowler, "trickeration". Just stick to time honored stuff like "flea flicker", "trick play", or other well known things. Don't be trying to bastidize several of them together.

The announcer with zero knowledge of the game, like a Beth Mowins or her ilk, saying "Double Reverse" when the play was actually a straight handoff to a back coming around. That is not even a reverse.......much less a double reverse. Some of these clowns talk like they are straight in off a flight from a career announcing Cricket Games!!

Ton of first downs.
Ton of penalties.
Ton of yards.
How much does a first down weigh? How many yards are in a pound?
Folks, I really don't mind it, but I just think it is so overused in our society in general it is trite and shows lack of imagination.
I'd far prefer "It's third and two bunches to go." Or even "It's first and 3 acres."
