Coach has dipped into the portal a couple of times this week and gotten a pitcher who shut us out at home and a hitter who hit a home run against us and helped her team beat us .
I think I am starting to see his portal strategy. I don't hate it.

You mean like Reese Basinger held one of our best teams to 3 hits and 2 runs in 2023. Cagle had 2 of the 3 hits.

Or how she held us to 4 runs (2 earned) and 6 hits and struck out 6 of our hitters.

That's Kyle btw. Wait to see what he and Crash does with this young woman. 😉

same one Brownell uses, and sometimes Noonan and others. That's becoming the Clemson portal strategy. It is a bit humorous, but hey; I'd say it's actually worked pretty well thus far.

Great pick up. Agree with the comments about KJ. If you look back at his Furman days, he could always find solid pitchers. Both portal pickups this week should really help fill some holes due to graduation.
