I admit I had those same concerns about Deshaun Watson his 1st year. When Stoudt threw the bounce pass to Allen(?) on the goal line at FSU I was ready for the change.

of TNet thinks he can’t compete for a starting spot. I dare say almost everyone would say that he can “compete” for a starting spot. I think most people expect Dabo to start a second year starter and upperclassman over a true freshman early in the season while Cade gets some valuable PT, but I don’t know many that would say there’s no way he’s starting at mid-season, even if some of us are hopeful that DJ turns it around and has a great season.

There you go Swarley ... that is cool to wish for a QB to go from 14th best in ACC and 96th best in the country to top 10. My preference is to win out. But not worried about Dabo getting it right.

We won 10 games with that QB performance last year…and that WR performance…and a RB roster that was young and developed through the season.
It is not unreasonable to hope for significantly improved performance from a 5 star QB. It’s also fair to assume that the story has been told. We shall see. My point was mainly that I haven’t seen people here saying that CK can’t compete for a starting spot.

With Cade’s scrambling ability I can see him getting in games from the very start of the season on some third downs and so on. If the decision is made to make him the starter after a few games those early season snaps in pressure situations will help him tremendously.

I don't recall any poasters claiming Klubnik "couldn't" start......the kid is good and we'll see him play a good bit this year I'm certain of it.
