The market was definately crashing because of them; so he must have, but I haven't seen any news on it.

So the potential government shutdown had the market spooked?

Gets old doesn’t it? Do they realize we don’t even pay attention or care about their govt shutdown talk anymore?

They reached a deal to avoid a shutdown.

A shutdown will lead to default, if it's not fixed. So what's your point again? Every time there's a shutdown, or one within days, the markets freak. They were already freaked about tariffs, but then you add in shutdown and that adds to losses.
Will see if they stay up Monday.

His tariffs on Canada are a joke. That’s a clown take for him. The only trade surplus Canada has on us is oil. He needs to shut his mouth on that topic. Hopefully he shuts the f up about that before the purple haired non binary’s win the midterms. Birm, tiggy, and catty would love that.

How loud is Canada going to yell when all other tariffs go reciprocal April 2nd? Tell me again why the U.S. is supposed to pay higher tariffs. Who ordered that economic idiocy?

Trump ordered that economic policy. He wants you to pay more for imported goods so he can bring Nike factories from Vietnam to Mississippi. Apparently, the orange farter listened in an economics class one time. Unfortunately, the topic was 19th century tariffs before Teddy fixed things. I think he'd be better off with a brain worm like RFK than stage 4 syphilis.

So it's ok with you to buy Nike made by "slave labor" so you can save $20 or is it better to have American workers making Nike, paying taxes and putting more than that $20 in your pocket with taxes cuts? Y'all just love you some child exploitation no matter where it is taking place. Don't argue, exploitation of foreign children in the work force was part of my International Business thesis.

You can pretend like it’s just people who buy sneakers that are benefitting from a global economy creating competition and cheaper products, but it’s literally everything you’ve bought for your entire life.
I’m also struggling to see how Nike moving factories to the US, dramatically increasing their labor costs and having to price their products higher against their competition will lead to me seeing a tax cut.
I don’t think you’ve really thought out your pro-Tariff position much further than it’s just what Trump is telling you.

Do we really think companies are going to drop the prices back down? If I can sell shoes for $200, why would I drop them to $100 (what they used to cost)?
