It means he can use it like personal property, but he can use tax free charitable giving to pay for all of the expenses associated with it. He doesn't want it as "personal" property because he couldn't afford to maintain his old plane, which sat for years in no shape to fly.

Trivia question: Who was the second largest funder of Hamas before Oct 7? It was Israel/Netanyahu. The long term Likud goal was to keep Gaza and the West Bank isolated from each other politically, so two states weren't possible until they had brainwashed enough of the population to oppose it. Hamas had to stay in power to ensure that. It won't matter after Armageddon anyways.

There's no way this is a good idea and it doesn't matter who the hell the president is. We shouldn't be accepting gifts like this and we have to show other nations, especially one that sponsors terrorism, that our presidency can't be bought.
Anyone who is okay with this is effectively saying that they're fine with Trump being a corrupt and bought dictator. Notice NC_Tiger is quick to defend; he supports the corruption.
Trump is only in this job for himself and his kids. That's it. He does not give two ##### about this nation or its people.
EDIT: Also, anyone clamoring about Hamas supporters and how need to kick anyone out who supports them needs to sit TF down since Qatar supports Hamas, which now means Trump supports them.

Nothing sneaky going on here.
Had not Woeking Company forgotten how to make airplanes, then the DoD would have received the new Air Force One plane(s) as per the contract’s delivery date requirement. E.g., right now. As it is, the new Air Force One plane(s) are not scheduled to be delivered before ~ 2030 - at best.
These specious ‘concerns’ about the gifting of a used Qatari custom luxury jet as a potential Air Force One plane are purposely ignoring the practical factors that normal adults consider in their daily lives: What better options does America have to the Qatari jet?
I haven’t heard this one yet: America insists upon paying Qatar for the jet, which (per the estimated value of the gift-status plane) is estimated at ~ $400M. IMO, we should check out the plane thoroughly first its flight-worthiness, and, assuming the check goes well, then offer to pay $400M for the plane.
(Extensive additional refitting of the plane and the most rigorous inspections / testing of the plane for bugs, remote control bombs, toxic substance contaminants / weapons, etc must be performed before it can be used in an Air Force One role. Who knows how much this might cost, other than it he purchase shouldn’t take place if the refitting / checking out process costs > $1B.)
(*). Howling that ‘the Qatari plane cannot be considered,’ without consideration for the ‘if not Qatari plane, then propose your idea for a better plan … and doing nothing is NOT a better plan’ alternative, simply reflects blatant insincerity about the feigned outrage.
Let’s hear from the D.C. complainers about their better idea (I.e., better idea than insisting that we buy the plane if indeed it represents a suitable foundation for being converted to an Air Force One plane.
