allowing the home (SEC) team to start a game at 8:00, while making the ACC team's home state wait until 9 to view it on TV. THAT'S A ONE HOUR DELAY! My only other option... drive to Auburn and support an SEC school by purchasing a ticket. No thanks.
My guess, and I'm not a communications expert, is that if Auburn is loosing badly early on, ESPN will cut away to another game before the east coast voters have a chance to view it on TV. But if Clemson is struggling, this game will be plastered all over ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN Classic, ESPN U, and ABC. Mark it down.
ESecPN is doing everything they can to prop up their investment in an overrated SEC.

Do not be surprised if there is a problem with on field communications at Auburn. It happened in 2010 and even money says it will happen again. Apparently they can't stand the thought of getting an ars kicking which is what we will give to them!!

Since Auburn is in the Central time zone, the game starts at 8 pm there but airs at 9 pm here. This is the same exact time, 9 pm Eastern time is 8 pm Central time.

You do understand that Auburn is in the central time zone which is an hour behind the Eastern time zone, which Clemson is in?
9pm in Clemson equals 8pm in Auburn.

Thank you so much for your explanation! I thought the SEC team would start at 8, thus giving them an hour to run the score up before the ACC team was permitted into the game. This is so much more fair!

You do realize that 8:00pm in Alabama is 9:00 in SC? Difference in eastern and central time zone. There is no delay on this game. Hope you were being sarcastic and didn't know that!
