our ball park is.
Couldn't have mentioned it more than 100 times.
Before this day is over, one of them will probably say that we would be a couple of inches larger if we were in the SEC.

I don't know what/how they are referring to small, but personally I think that the out field fences should be moved back at least 30 feet and allow our fielding to be the deciding factor on who wins the games at our stadium. Another 30 feet back it would take a slugger to knock the ball out the park. All those HR that our fielders barely miss going out, those at bats would count for outs!!!

Just a few years ago, home plate was moved several feet forward.

What was the reason given for why they moved homeplate in during the last renovation? Was it because Lee wanted to play gorilla long ball?

A product of Monte, launch angle, and living and dying by the long ball. It’s a shame - always loved our bigger outfield and the long slopes at the wall before they moved home plate up.

When the fences were back, the terraced track all the way around the outfield came into play more. More emphasis on base hits, especially in the gaps.

Home plate was moved up when they did the renovations on the field after 2013 season

Where the did the new drainage system & all that (tail end of the Leggett tenure).
Can't undo it now b/c the did the additional seats behind home couple years after. & can't move walls back b/c A) Chapman Grandstands - will end up creating odd dimensions from LC on over b/c don't think tearing them down & rebuilding is an option. And B ) don't thing there's much room between the current wall/outfield bleachers & the practice facilities behind the stadium.

There is actually at least 2 feet between the outfield fence and the outfield seating in the right field.

Because of the premium seats behind home plate were installed. The ones that always look empty on tv.

Not capacity wise. DKS 6,272 and Lindsey Nelson 4387 capacity.
