TYRONE, Ga. -- ESPN 150 wide receiver Demarre Kitt (Tyrone, Ga./Sandy Creek) is set to announce his commitment June 10 between Clemson, Ohio State and Tennessee. But if today were decision day, could Kitt pull the trigger?
“If I had to choose today I would know where I am going,” Kitt said. “I just feel secure with the coaches and the offense, the education and depth chart all feel right.”
The Buckeyes, Volunteers and Tigers are the frontrunners for the No. 99 prospect in the country, but only one of the top three looks likely to get Kitt back on campus before his decision. Two other programs are hoping to make a last minute push for the 6-foot, 196-pound wideout.
Demarre Kitt Wide receiver 2014 Uncommitted: List
Pos Rk Stars Grade Hometown 12 83 Tyrone, GA “I am not trying to shut the door on anyone, but that has been my solid top three for my decision,” Kitt said. “I will visit Auburn for Big Cat Weekend and if they show me something, maybe they can make a push. I will then visit Clemson May 29, and I might visit Ole Miss too. Then I am going to talk to my parents about the pros and cons about each of my top three and if we agree on a school, I will announce my decision June 10.”
Kitt said that after his visit to Ohio State last month, the Buckeyes had taken the lead in his recruitment. But then his first visit to Knoxville, Tenn. to mee the new Volunteers’ coaching staff opened his eyes and evened everything up again. He spoke highly of each of his top three schools.
Ohio State: “I visited twice and I love it up there. Coach (Urban) Meyer is a great guy and they provide a great opportunity to come in and play early.”
Tennessee: “Coach (Butch) Jones is a really cool dude and Coach “Z” (Zach Azzanni) told me everything he could do with me when I got up there. They really do not have much depth at receiver. Having a chance to make an early impact in the SEC is a big reason why they are high on my list.”
Clemson: “Coach (Jeff) Scott and Coach (Chad) Morris have been on me from day one. They said I can really come in and showcase my talents really early. I love the offense Coach Morris runs and he is a big reason why I like them.”
As for which program Kitt thinks has him highest on their priority list, the Tigers achieved that by getting in on him early and often.
“Clemson has made me feel like I am their No. 1 target because they have come to all of my playoff games, and Coach Scott and Coach Morris have been heavily involved,” Kitt said.

He says that he feels secure about his top school's "depth chart"... that definitely takes us out of the running! He'll probably become a Vol.

He would replace Sammy

Same size WR so he would probably come in and compete for the job Sammy will leave open next year. Remember we run twice as many plays as most teams so even if we are deep everyone will get the ball.

Not so fast, we have 4 Jr WR's this year, and Sammy is for sure gone, if Bryant has a good year he will leave early. He straightened up and started working hard so he could get draft status.... He has 2 kids also. If he thinks he can make some money he is gone. So really the depth chart is pretty open for 2014. We have no idea if Peake or Hopper are going to be really good and Mike Williams isnt on campus yet so he's not guaranteed to be anything.

Those 10 TD's will quickly increase to 18's with Watson,Stoudt, or even Kelly at QB during his freshman year. Providing all goes well.
