Either the ACC grabs ND and a few Big 12 schools

Jul 3, 2022, 1:45 PM

Or Clemson, FSU and Miami WILL leave for the SEC.

And if any SEC homers trolling this board think otherwise you're fooling yourself. The SEC would lay the red carpet down for those 3 schools.

I personally want to stay in the ACC and get ND, WV, maybe Baylor and Oklahoma state.

They would take fsu or Miami, not both.....and word is they're in talks with FSU. There's honestly no reason for them to take us either. Either the acc makes a move or we're sadly playing in the big 10 in the future.

Doubt it.

Clemson is perfect fit in SEC. I could see SEC dumping the Coots. They still have the worst 2 year record ever in SEC- 0-21!

LOL.. no. Clemson is the big prize. The BIG or SEC would not flinch if Clemson wanted to join.

The sec is already the most dominant football conference and it isn't close even with the BIGs new additions. They're already the best baseball conference. Only one they need to work on is basketball and they're not far off. Sorry to break it to you, the SEC doesn't need us... especially with the state of our basketball and baseball programs. Maybe instead of us for years bashing the SEC and make believing the acc was even close to being what the sec was, we shoulda been pushing our leadership to see the writing on the wall and changing conferences while we were af our peak.

Do without wearing the orange colored glasses. Tell me what we currently offer the SEC outside of football. Not a new market, not a solid basketball or baseball program, not a huge fanbase or boosters. We offer a great football program, something the SEC isn't lacking in. FSU, Miami, duke or UNC would be an invite before us.

It's not about TV markets anymore. Cable TV is dead for all intents and purposes ("intensive purposes" for our coot readers), streaming services are the new kings. What is important now is what type of brand value your team brings to the table. I mean they could add Temple for the much larger Philly market, but does that really add value to the SEC? I'd say no. More people would watch Clemson and Auburn play (two small market teams) than would watch Temple and Auburn.

Your feathers are showing.

It’s comical how you coots feel as if you’re superior to us. We own you clowns.

The ACC will have to start by offering Notre Dame upwards of $100M per season in disbursements, even while disbursing $30-40M to Clemson, Wake and the balance of ACC schools, to achieve ND entry. I do not see this being an acceptable outcome for Clemson or ACC.

ND is not coming to save the ACC. SEC is only option. Go Tigers!!!!

I agree Members. But I'm afraid the ACC is in 3rd place for ND.

ND is under contract that IF they join a conference it has to be the ACC

You guys should all know any contract can be broken. That is what lawyers and courts are for.
